Is Bin Raiders any good?

I've driven past this place on Guelph line a few times and it appears to always be packed. Are the deals that good? What kind of stuff do they sell? I've never had time to stop or was going by before/after business hours to find out. Interested to hear others take on this place.

Youth and burlington/go transit

I have a 14 year old and a 12 year old who want to take the bus to McDonald's.some parents tell me they can ride the bus free but I cant find any info like that online. This is what it says:

Youth: 13 to 19: $2.00. Youth ride for free on weekdays after 20 taps in a calendar month and ride free weekdays after 6 p.m. and on weekends

Children: 12 and under: Free when travelling with a parent or guardian

So does that mean youth rise free on weekends and after 6 on weekdays? Or do they need to get a 20 tap minimum?

It also says I can take the a presto pass to shoppers drugmart with my kid and their ID to get the card adjusted to youth. Is it really any shoppers drugmart.

Mustard pickles

Hello everyone, my fiancée has recently become obsessed with the idea of buying mustard pickles (particularly the Bicks brand if that matters) but we cannot find any in the city. Does anyone know where in Burlington or nearby that we could find some?

The closest option I’ve found is a Giant Tiger in Acton but I really don’t feel like driving an hour to get pickles. Also important to note, she does not drive, so I’d really appreciate some help finding these things closer to home.

Looking for places to check out!

Hi all,

Visiting some family in Mississauga next week. I’ll probably have some down time, so I’m just trying to see what’s around.

I’m from the US. So, I’m welcome to any suggestions for things to check out up north since it’s all new to me.

Going to Club 54 for first time. What to expect, wear?

As the title suggests, I’m going with a couple of buddies. We heard it’s closing down and wanted to check it out before that happens. What’s the vibe like there? What’s the age group usually like we’re early 40s. And most importantly…..what should I wear?

Opinions on Paradigm Condos / Fairview and Brant

Two young professionals looking to move to Burlington. Lots of rental listings at 2087 Fairview (Paradigm), but I ran into some mixed reviews of it on reddit from a few years ago. So yeah, thoughts on that place? Also been looking at some places in the vicinity of that on Prospect st, would be nice to hear about that area from some locals. Thanks!

To the people who parked in the Joseph Brant Hospital lot on Canada Day to catch the fire works, SHAME ON YOU.

I was trying to visit a sick family member and could not find parking because many families were happily parking in the hospital lot to make it to the fireworks. Watching people laughing and giggling that they found “a spot” was infuriating as I did circles around the lot myself.

Seriously shame on you. It should be a basic principle to not abuse that parking lot for your recreational plans when people are going to see sick and dying loved ones.

They got Life+

Life in prison. No parole eligibility for 25 years. Hamber and Cooney showed no remorse for their actions. Hamber was so bold as to read a poem that she wrote from the perspective of the child she murdered. Jail is too good for this subhuman trash. There was a town in the US called Salem that had a punishment I think would befit them.

Found Cell Phone.

I found a cellphone that was left on a picnic table on the beach at Bronte Beach Park.
If you lost a phone and can describe to me what it looks like I’ll let you know where you can pick it up.
If no one claims it in the next day or two I’ll bring it to a police station.

Best Fettucine Alfredo?!

Hi there, looking to see where to find the best fettucine Alfredo in Burlington!

Bonus if the place also serves a frozen peach Bellini, for daughter’s 19th bday!
