Job hunting help

I moved here in February and am looking for a more local job. I have a paralegal certificate and four years experience behind me. I also have administrative skills. Does anyone know of any law firms/ businesses that are hiring in a 30 mile radius of Butler? I could really use some help. Thanks in advance.

Heating oil company recommendation

New to fuel oil heating and would appreciate suggestions from folks who use heating oil, and could recommend a local/local-ish provider. I'm a few miles north of Butler if that matters. Thanks.

Ritter/Christie Playground

Anybody in this group live near the Christie Ave playground? It’s getting out of control with these kids. How many times do the police need to be called to have them start patrolling the area?

Moving back to Butler

I grew up in Butler but moved out in 2015. My wife, daughter and I are moving back in the next few months and I am trying to gauge how safe downtown is these days. I'm being told by my family that it's pretty dangerous, but they've never left Butler and I'm used to living around Philly and Denver so I can't tell if downtown really has changed, or if their perspective is just skewed.

UPMC or Highmark?

I live a few miles north of Butler, currently have Highmark insurance, but have to select new coverage by virtue of a move via PENNIE. As far as best access to care, local hospital, ease of getting service which insurer is the better choice per your experience? Thanks.

Best Burger in Butler County

Hi, I really want a burger, fries, and milkshake for Mother’s Day. Where is your favorite place to get that anywhere in Butler County?

Hi! I just moved back from college and I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to where to find events or groups to join in Butler to meet people.

Has anyone seen a white car with a pink cartoon character pretty big on the side?

Just saw it driving through town and it looked cool. Not something I see every day in town here. Anyone seen it or have any info/pictures?

Fiber Internet

Does anyone have brightspeed already?

Patiently waiting for Armstrong to get fiber to residential.

Curious about their customer service and reliability. They seem sketchy and pushy

New video from an old Butler band :)

For our band Mind’s I’s 30th anniversary, I spent the last several months creating a music video inspired by the strange, unsettling charm of 1960s and 1970s Hanna-Barbera cartoons.

The song is called “Baroquen,” and it’s the first release from an upcoming remastered reissue project we’ll be putting out later this year. The video explores themes of fear, surrender, and transformation — probably best summed up by the Hermann Hesse quote: “Some of us think holding on makes us strong; but sometimes it is letting go.”

This was an enormous labor of love, and honestly my favorite video project I’ve ever worked on. I hope some of you enjoy taking this weird little journey with us.

If you enjoy this 15-second teaser, please check out the whole video on YouTube. Thanks!
