Which should i buy!

Im more debating what comes in it- the first one has 3 sizes of buttons which i feel like i would possibly utilise, and the fridge magnets sound fun.

And the second only has one size but it is £30 cheaper and also has fun holographic sheets!

My biggest question would be can you buy the gasket that allows the machine to make smaller sized buttons and then put that in the cheaper one?

Which do you think?

question about my button maker

i got a button maker on facebook marketplace and i bought new button supplies because i dont like the plastic backing that came with it. however when i try using them the top doesn’t connect to the bottom and it wont make the button. it came with a gasket thing so i put it at the bottom but it still wont connect.

i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for supplies for the dc-109 badge maker or if anyone has any suggestions.

i attached the maker i believe i have and the buttons i bought.

Tecre Model R1545 Button Maker - Resale opportunities?

If I may ask, what's the general resale opportunity/interest for Tecre presses? I have quasi inherited a Tecre Model 1545 - 1-1/2" x 4-1/2" rectangular button maker along with a sizable number of shield blanks and material.

https://www.tecre.com/catalog/button-maker-machine/43

I just cleaned it up and tested it, everything's still working beautifully. I just don't have free time or a workspace for it. Needless to say this is so heavy I'm not likely to take it anywhere or casually sell it online.

Is there interest for these units in general, or do they end up being destined to gather dust or *UGH* get scrapped?

Thanks in advance!

All the ones we’ve made so far

Side note: yes that is electric tape, we had a mishap with the plastic sheet not ‘catching’ with the rest of the layers so improvised. We think it works with the message we were trying to say. First time maker so we’re learning (~.~;)

My free for all button makers platform!

Hi everyone, I was working on building something for myself earlier but figured why not open it for everyone, I made a platform that has all productivity features for button makers, especially PDF generation that is not behind a paywall, I also threw in a couple of extras like inventory management, orders and a storefront and more!

I made this youtube video to showcase it (this is the first video I ever made so please bare with me lol)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dcv5pqBZPm8

Right now I support 3 buttons, will add more if I see interest from the community 🙏
Feel free to ask for anything new too! this will be a tool built by the community for the community

Blank paper for buttons?

Hi, everyone! Picture is for attention/example.

My Button maker came with 100 of these little paper circles to make into buttons and I'm loving making them! Now I'm wondering how to recreate them to make more hand drawn buttons. I was thinking a circle punch, but I don't know what size/paper type; like printer paper for example?

Any ideas are appreciated. Thanks!!!

Holographic Film Crimping Issue SOLVED!

I got some holo/reflective outer film/cellophane to add some sparkle to my buttons and - like many people in the reviews of this holo film - my machine would regularly get jammed or produce a poorly-crimped button with wrinkled film. I searched for anyone who'd found a solution but found none, and then stumbled on the solution myself! And now I must inform the whole world!!

So holo film has a definitive front and back to each disc and if you put the front side facing down instead of up, the pin will almost always cause a jam or a wrinkly button. Even if it does make a functional pin by stroke of luck, the holo can be scratched right off the front of the button! But this is useful to determine which side is up before you press. Scratch the very edge of one side of a disc (the outer edge will get tucked behind the button anyway) with a fingernail or credit card and if the holo comes off, that side should face DOWN.

When correctly done, the pin presses normally, is scratch resistant and has protected holo. I really hope this saves people a lot of frustration and resources in the future. I'm going to put some search terms in the body of this in the hopes that it puts this post up top when someone searches the issue. Happy buttoning!

Any suggestions?

Looking for a machine that I can use to make multiple button sizes (metal backings). Im kinda wary of the cheap ones on amazon since none of them have above a 4.2 rating and Ive heard so many mixed reviews on vevor 😥 Looking for something under 100!
