19, GNEF, took 2 drops for neet. Pls help

19, general, couldnt crack neet.

Parents are pushing for drop again.

But i want to move on from this. Have given cuet, will be doing bachelors in microbiology probably.

I want job security and money, hence mba. My family is not financially well off at all. So thinking of mba feels like a gamble, because just bsc and msc you cannot earn from.

Another thing is that my extended family has iim grads. Compared to them, I am very stupid. I dont do logical reasoning well, my only strength is memorization, and that too couldnt carry me through neet. My maths was very, very bad in school years. Actually everything was besides english. Only contact I have had with numbers is through physics, which I do okayish in. Leave quantitative aptitude and DILR, even VARC feels hard for me. I just randomly looked through a PYP of CAT and that raised so many alarm bells.

Im kind of dumb and stupid. In an exam where IIT grads sit, what is a person like me to do? Is this even for me? Im not here for consolation, just real advice.

Im lost on what to do.

  3. start online BA Degree (UGC recognized -3 yr course) with NIOS certificate: 2027

4) will give CAT in final yr of Btech and BA degree Both, but want to use my NIOS certificate - and BA degree for high marks optimization and Academic diversity points.

So, is my plan feasable plz help

what are the top 2 foundational skills that actually save lives in the first term? What can we learn over the next few weeks to give ourselves a genuine head start?

IIT madras next list when?

I have a waitlist no of 30 and from previous years’ movement, it seems convertible so does anyone know when they might release it?
Additionally I need it fast cause I have GIM core and IIT kanpur and I’m not sure which one to choose.
Any insight on this would also be helpful. Thanks 🙏🏼

College selection advice and senior contacts

I have four options in my cards currently:

  1. IIM Shillong at a convertible WL (prolly in 2- 3 lists , I will convert)

2.IIM Udaipur - Converted

  1. IIM Trichy - Convertible WL (Home state institution - I belong to Chennai)

  2. IIM Mumbai SM - should convert in later lists as per last year trends

Can someone help me list down the pros and cons of each institute? Which one should I pick?

P.S I am happy to extensively connect with seniors and currently studying students for some honest-exp sharing!

Btw , this is my profile!

9/9/8 , GEF , B.Tech IT , 2026 Passout , 96.91 in CAT

Looking for the community to help me out!😊

Is it possible to get into old IIMS with this profile?

I'm about to graduate in a few days and I'll give CAT this year

Note - I got covid in 10th class just before pre board then they cancelled the exam and my school marked me shit scores.

I can't defend myself for 12 and Bachelor

So what are my best chances and what will be a safe score/ percentile?

Be honest!!

Anyone with a 7 in their profile who made it to old IIMs?

  • acads (10/12/grad)
  • CAT %ile
  • work ex / fresher
  • calls & converts

Also, did your acads come up a lot in interviews? Just trying to understand how realistic it is vs what people say here.

MBA Batch 2026-28

I see so many LinkedIn posts saying, “Excited to share I'll be joining IIM xyz..”

Firstly congratulations, but here’s one piece of advice from a senior: you won’t get much time to build your CV once college starts, and before you know it, SIP season arrives. Students with strong CVs already have an unfair advantage.

So invest in building your profile early. If you’re a fresher like I was, fill your CV with certifications, live projects, and internships.

And if you’re looking for live project certificates, I can definitely help. DM me for more details.

VERY Urgent

Hi Guys - This is a very urgent question!

My brother has Iim ranchi hrm and ba converted.
And core waitlist as 12

And Raipur core waitlist at 31
Tirchy core at 60

He is EWS BBA

The next waitlist will come tomorrow but its last day today for him to accept ranchi BA or HRM.
I want him to get into core Ranchi m, Raipur or tirchy.
But I m also worried what if the waitlist doesn’t move.

I really wanna know if we pay and keep the BA ranchi seat just for safety today. Will this affect his waitlist movement in the core Ranchi? Like will the college play dirty games as he already choose BA and they choose not to move his waitlist for core and give chance to others instead. Does somethinglike this happen?

Secondary- are this convertable waitlists at this stage considering EWS?

Please comment your thoughts asap!

freedom of speech with terms and conditions applied

IIM Mumbai has brought a new policy restricting it's students to post anything about the college on social media. Especially related to placements and hostel/mess conditions.

What a democracy we live in!

97.2/96.8/82.5 GEM

I have just started my MBA preparation and I’m about to start my final year of B.Tech from IIT Guwahati in 2 months. With the profile stated above, what IIMs can I target? I’ve heard getting calls from BLACKI is very tough for GEM candidates. Also, is my graduation 82.5 a major bottleneck?
