Doubt regarding Flying branch age cutoff

My dob is 1/7/03, I am eligible for flying through CDS-2 but not eligible through afcat-2. I assume both the folks will attend the same course in afa starting next July?

Though it was my first attempt and by god's grace I cleared it but it is surely a surreal feeling when you vividly see your name in that holy pdf of UPSC , I am so so teary right now dont no what will happen in SSB but these small intangible happiness is what makes life worth living!

hope all of you experience this , I genuinely pray to radheshyam ,work hard brothers and sisters and experience this

May radheshyam aap sabko aapke mehnat ka fal de

EX-OTA this side, AMA!

Jai Hind everyone,

I'm an Ex-OTA cadet; resigned from the academy (unavoidable family emergency, legal dispute within family, my presence was compulsory, and it was unpredictable to guess when will it end, I won't be able to tell anything further)

It was my very first attempt — both my written and SSB attempt. I prepared mostly on my own, but for SSB preparation, I moved to a different city and stayed in a PG where my roommates were defence aspirants, all awaiting their SSBs. This helped me the most during my preparation.

Ask me anything you want about OTA, the CDS exam (I have cleared it only twice, but I’ll still give my best attempt at answering your queries), or SSB. I personally don’t have much SSB experience since I’ve appeared only once, but my roommates had given multiple attempts — 17, 15, and 8 attempts — so they shared a lot of their learnings and experiences with me. Moreover, some of my friends are also from AFPA and AMAS, so I know a bit about these as well, or anything miscellaneous.

I’ve been feeling a bit down and alone ever since I came out of the academy, so I just wanted to interact with people, especially those wanting to join the forces.

I am not here to provide any type of guidance, because I am not a trained authority to do so. I simply want to share my experience here.

Thank you so much, and all the best!

Also, please don’t ask me about my company/battalion/course, as I would like to maintain anonymity.

Need help

Someone guide me how should I approach these questionLeft Sainik school after 10th - Actual reason - Mother was having some health issues. Someone had to look after her. Father has to frequently go to farms to look after farming and sister was in vizag for tcs training. Also I was not able to study properly there and thought I won't be able to clear written of nda so left and. Joined aps. Cleared nda in 12th appearing attempt (NDA 154) Got co. Got 75 percentile in jee. And 82 in mhtcet. Failed Nda 155 cutoff by 2 marks. Took a drop year for mhtcet and nda. Cleared Nda 156 gave tes 55 .Got co in both. Got 85 in jee . Expected more than 95 in mhtcet.

You see there are failures everywhere. No hope for success anywhere. What reason should I give to io to questions like

Why left Sainik school? The actual problem is mother has now joined again as a teacher in a school at walking distance and teaches 4-5th students so io might think I am lying.

Why took a drop?

3)Why failing every exam even in drop year?

DM for SSB guidance and CDS written prep

Good evening

Captain Rony this side.
I’m a Serving officer in the Indian Army from last 5 years now.

Lately, planning to guide serious and hard working Aspirants ONLY for SSB prep through one on one personal interaction.

I myself cracked UPSC CDS 4 times, to include all four attempts I’ve given and eventually cracked SSB in my fourth attempt (to include one NCC Direct Entry and three CDS Attempts, clearing screening test in all 4 attempts).

Learning should never stop So I’m currently preparing for upcoming CFA examination (just for the certificate purpose and knowledge).

I request serious aspirants only to feel free to DM me and seek guidance to where they are stuck and necessary course corrections required or even if you’re a fresher.

Stay positive! All the best!

Warm Regards

Eyesight for flying

I have -0.5D power in both eyes. It’s too little to get surgery done, but at the same time, I’m not eligible for flying.

Does anyone know if -0.5D is workable off the docs?
