Getting a Male Heir (Difficulty: Impossible)
Inherited the Trident from my grandfather at 8, with two sisters. Not having any kids with my wife (I'm an embarrassment to the Frey dynasty), and my sisters have produced 9 daughters between them, but not a single son. A few years after this screenshot, my wife gets pregnant. Take a wild guess at my child's sex.
Absolute fucking goat
Motherfucker is the first Drowned Lord to become a knight. Becomes the first measter in the family. On top of that gets 2 westerosi faith of the seven lovers and turns them into his salt wifes. None compare
Who to watch?
Hi, I am new to both CKII and the AGOT mod.
Would you please suggest some YouTubers and creators that I could follow to watch some gameplays and learn how to play?
I would also like to know if there are more mods and which one you would recommend I try.
Thanks
Can anyone give me a rundown on all the mods features and changes?
I've so far played 2 quick Aegon campaigns
So far I have some idea on how dragons work and that you need to place your character in the same province as a dragon to interact with it and potentially tame it.
I know you can get eggs and swords from some colonizable counties as well as the old Valyria sea once per life for a egg, sword or fight against a silent monster for some prestige.
I generally understand the megawar system but any details would be helpful.
The squire system seems to only be for getting fighting education for the kids but I haven't noticed any traits from it.
The education system other than paying for a better education seems the same, I have heard that a maester or someone with high learning does contribute to a child's stats unlike vanilla.
if there's anything else I would appreciate if someone could explain it a little.
Annoying Marriage bug
So this has just started happening in my games out of nowhere and it’s driving me nuts. I’ll arrange for a marriage or betrothal, it will get accepted, the person getting married to my heir will be in court, but then I unpause and it’s like it never went thru. Not a rejection or a break betrothal, but like nothing was even done. I can literally ask to arrange it again and they accept and then the same thing happens.
Does anyone know the fix for this? Is this due to a mod like Speed Dating? Or is there some obscure rule I have turned on by accident that is fucking this up?
How can I stop this?
Hey guys!
I’m playing as Daemon Targaryen and forming the Valyrian Empire. However, when a new leader is chosen in the Free Cities, this event starts appearing endlessly; has anyone else experienced something like this?
AGOT Direwolves Expanded
Hey does anyone have a copy of direwolves expanded the author has seemed to take it down?
Doom of Valyria Event
So I'm thinking of starting a new play through as a Valyrian house using the Valyrian Freehold submod. Is there an event command that triggers the Doom of Valyria? I want to trigger it eventually and move on to Westeros
More Bloodlines and Knights of the Sword Tower questions
So I just did a fresh install and just now realized my sub mods weren’t working as they were supposed to until now lmao. One big thing I noticed is that I guess for More Bloodlines is that Kings Landing is owned by the commander of the Gold Cloaks and the King just owns the red keep. This is cool, however I’m curious if there is any way to upgrade the city itself still or is it just confined to the Red Keep. It just seems weird to have the king be unable to have the Hand upgrade a holding.
Another sub mod finally activating right is Knights of the Sword Tower. I like having the kingsguard have more events, I am mostly wondering about the honor system and how it works. Like there is a modifier that says “unremarkable kingsguard” that I know goes up and down but is there anything tangible I can do to up their honor, or is it mostly event based and who I pick?
Is there any money/ lore accurate traits you add to characters at the beginning of your playthroughs?
For example, when I start a Jon Snow play-through I always add intricate web-weaver. A big part of Jon’s story at that point in the books is him scheming plots, like switching Mance’s baby, so it’s weird he starts with an intrigue of 0. Another is Stannis, whose biggest accomplishment is holding a siege for a year, and yet he doesn’t have siege leader. Finally, I always add a decent amount of gold for kings because the crown having only like 40 gold feels absurd, even the debt filled reign of Joffrey.
Is there any other lore accurate traits you guys add at the start of playthroughs?
Help it just crashes when I launch ?
I dont have any other DLCs and the base game works fine
