CMF buds pro 2 ANC problem

I recently bought CMF buds pro 2 and it have been genuinely good. Really good bass, a nice mic, nice ANC.

However, when using ANC, the "strength" of it seems to decrease randomly. Like for a moment it will work perfectly but the next moment, it seems to weaken and more noise comes in. It lasts for a few seconds and fixes by itself though it is really common

Anyone face the same issue? Or perhaps its just how ANC buds work? I never had ANC buds before (though i had ANC headphones) so i dont really know if actually works like that

Spent ₹100 traveling to Nothing service center, got a ₹100 discount voucher. Net gain: literally @Nothing

So my CMF Buds case recently stopped working and powers on only when plugged directly into the wall - the exact same BMS/case failure plenty of people have already posted about on Reddit and the Nothing Community.

The actual earbud drivers work totally fine. Since it was out of warranty, I decided to visit an authorized service center hoping they'd sell me a replacement case with a reasonable discount.

Long story short:

I spent ₹100 on travel to save ₹100 for a replacement product.

Net math: ₹0.

Service received: Literally @Nothing.

Honestly, what bugs me most is that good earbuds get turned into instant e-waste just because the case battery fails and there's no way to buy just the case. At least Chinese ₹300 street earphones don't pretend to be a sleek, minimalist brand before dumping you post-warranty.

Anyone else deal with this exact masterclass in customer experience, or did you just cut your losses and switch brands?

CMF Buda Pro 2 VS Cmf Buds Plus 2

The cmf buds plus 2 is the most confusing piece of tech I’ve ever bought

I recently bought the CMF Buds Pro 2 and loved them, but I had to return my pair after the case discolored. I replaced them with the CMF Buds Plus 2, which led to a very interesting side-by-side comparison.
At first, the noise cancellation on the Plus 2 was disappointing, but a quick factory reset completely fixed the issue. Once reset, the ANC performance is practically identical to the Pro 2, though the Pro 2 is slightly better at blocking close-range sound.

Design-wise, the Plus 2 comes out ahead with a lighter, smaller, and sleeker case.

When it comes to audio quality:
CMF Buds Plus 2: Best for a clean, balanced, and rich sound profile.
CMF Buds Pro 2: Best for a fun, bass-heavy sound profile that most listeners will prefer.

Both sound great. While the Plus 2 technically offers cleaner audio, I personally prefer the punchier sound of the Pro 2.

Battery life is fairly average. The Plus 2 dropped to 75% after two hours of use, matching the Pro 2.

Ultimately, both models offer nearly identical mic quality and overall performance. They are both the exact same which is why it’s so confusing.

Just get the pro.

CmF Buds Neo Theory

Hey guys,

I hope I’m the first one with this theory, but I’ve come up with the idea that the dial on the Buds Neo might be interchangeable for better customization—much like how it works with the Headphone Pro. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if you could, for instance, add a white dial to a black case. That said, I’m assuming the price will be around €20 to €25, since it’s meant to be a more affordable option.

I also suspect they’ll focus even more on battery life, just as they did with the Headphone Pro.

But let me know what you think—is this realistic, or do you think it’s nonsense?

Got my CMF clip Pro today

i've had many different ear buds in my days.
had the sony xm2, xm3 and most recently the CMF buds 2 pro. The CMF buds 2 plus is great, especially for the price but i always noticed in ear buds always would move around in my ears and I'd always have to adjust them no matter the silicone ones i chose.

I was intrigued with the clips pro when announced so I placed an order right away as I enjoy my buds 2 plus.

on first impression definitely impressed with the comfort of these and how they don't move around. The call quality and voice coming from it sounds great (tested it outdoors on a walk with my dog).

Music wise it doesn't have immersive sound as isolated ear buds but it is still good. It is adequate for what I need it for.

I have no comparison on other clip style ear buds but I definitely recommend these.

Moving to Nothing Phone 3, any advice on the best place to sell these? (UK)

Any advice on where I could sell this bundle (and what I should be looking to get for it), ideally I don't want to play the eBay or Vinted game of hoping it's not a 'phone was not in the box' scam!

My first branded headphones

I bought the cmf headphones pro for 5k off flipkart. Last week. After using it for 2-3 days.

  1. volume: not as loud as expected while listening to music, but then confusingly increases when using instagram. Though it is sufficient.

2)sound quality: i am used to cheaper bass heavy headphones, so it felt mehh at first. But after some use i have started to appreciate it, especially better clarity in vocals and other frequencies.

3)build and colour: i really love the colour. Build feels sturdy and grip is tight, staying stable even during gym sessions(even at angles). The weight doesn't reflect in the actual comfort.

4)anc : good for the price i bought it for, though not sure about its placement compared to similarly priced sony or ankers. Though when listening to music, the cup isolation was enough to block out most sounds and i kept the anc off.

4)battery : felt really good. And went down like 1-2% when using it for 2 hrs during gym sessions(including travel). Though drain felt faster when anc was off. Im keeping ldac off as i dont mind a 5-10% drop in quality for better battery life.

I feel it is a steal for the price i got it for.

First day with the Clip Pros and I'm impressed

Impulse bought these a week ago or so when I got the email (for $79 I figured why not) I've been wary of open style ear buds but always wanted to try them because I have the worst luck getting ear buds to stay in. I'm also a pretty casual music listener now so comfort over sound quality or ANC is for me. I have dedicated Focal Bathys for that use case.

I was worried about them hurting my ear cartilage after a while but I've had them in pretty much non stop since I opened the box this afternoon with no issue.

The sound quality isn't "amazing" but for what they I'm very very impressed. Fuller mixed stuff sounds really good, especially Every Time Die's album Radical. One of my favorites to test audio stuff with. They are also really easy to position in your ear to get a good sound. No fiddling to get a "sweet spot", which was another worry of mine for this style of bud.

The smart dial on the case seems a bit... weird to me. I disabled it and haven't missed it. The dial would spin when I put it in my pocket which was annoying, the controls on the buds themselves are easy to use and customize so I don't forsee using the dial ever again.

I did fear they would look goofy when wearing them but they're pretty low profile. Either people don't notice them or just assume they're buds so no harm no foul there.

Just had a quick phone call with them and they're super nice to talk on the phone with since you can hear yourself so well. Way better than the off-putting experience of a side tone on other buds I've used.

If you're on the fence go for it. These are a win in my book!

Cmf Buds pro 2 VS Cmf Buds Plus 2

I recently got the CMF buds pro 2 and I’m loving it. I just had a slight issue though, the case got a weird blue tint. Anyway Amazon returned me my money and took the buds back. Do I rebuy the CMF buds pro 2 or get the Plus 2?
Which one has better sound quality overall?
