Opal Wetlands National Park

The Opal Wetlands of Northern Australia are a vast array of estuaries, lakes and flooded streams all playing host to arrays of fish species and one of the most dangerous sharks just waiting for you to jump in… the Park has four biomes for you to explore and angle, these are the coastal estuaries where you find Giant Trevalley and unmistakable Largetooth Sawfish, the second is inland wetlands, perfect to drive your boats around to catch the Barra or some legendary Archerfish. Coming in at third is the mangrove swamps where lurking in the murky waters are the notorious Mangrove Jack and the Bull Shark; one of the most aggressive shark species and a real nice reward once caught, just don’t let him catch you. And finally we head out into the outback to see all of the gorges and inland lakes, these hold catfish and Rainbowfish, some sights to see they are. So take the chance for a deadly and amazing fishing trip to the land down under, hopefully I will see you here at the Opal Wetlands.

Please tell me what you think of this map I love the feedback.

Anyone have any tips for catching a diamond channel catfish? I am trying to catch a diamond of every fish in the game and this is one of the last roadblocks. I have caught thousands of these things, never better than gold, using various baits/large hook sizes. So many hours, makes me not want to play the game anymore.

Any recommendations for setup and location on starter map?

i got this game last week when it was on sale on steam. been lurking the community for years and got about 3k hours on the hunter cotw. so for me, it was just a matter of time when i get this game, rather than if.

holidays got me a good amount of time, so i managed to get to around 60h ingame. don’t shame me, i like to dive into games when i got the time on hand 😄

in the beginning, it was alright that there were a couple of bugs. no legendaries, no competitions, etc. since i had to level up first, those topics were not important to me. lets cut to today. i‘m level 46 and would love to get some reputation points, but i can‘t cause its bugged. would love to catch some big boys, but they are bugged. on top of all that, the game recently crashed alot which made the experience even worse.

i‘ve seen the game went back up to the normal price. one question for the devs: how can u ask for full price if u don’t offer full experience? imo the community needs some sort of compensation… how can a studio be satisfied with having a shitty game like this on the market? even if its not in development anymore… they need to make it playable. fix the game u donuts.

Hi. Since our game is currently bugged and the legendary fish is out of order, as are the challenges, I've become interested in alternative games in this genre. What are some people playing? What other games are worth checking out? Thanks.

I’m signed in to apex, it says I am online, but when I go over to challenges, it says “please sign in to apex connect to use this feature”
Is this a result of the game being outdated?

I just want to catch these legendary fish man, can’t find em though.

Fished during the daytime no bites 3/0 Swimbait + hotdogs.
Same issue during the night time.
Any solutions? Salmon bite like no tomorrow caught multiple diamonds.

I haven't played for a while and just got back into it. Was reading a good wiki and there was a lot of charts showing best temperature for fish etc.

Well, maybe I'm a dumbo but I can't see what the temperature is on any of the fishing spots (I have all DLC), so how do I know if I'm fishing in the right spot at the right temperature?

I get into the angler again every few months but I never know which legendary fish is active and I can’t find a calendar for it anywhere

I only started playing again recently and ive fully fallen back in love with the game. I know engine limitations prevented them from adding so many requested features. I feel they would do a great job knowing where they went wrong. Anyone think this will happen sometime in the future?
