I just found out about the Aleks test a few days ago and I wanted to take it before my orientation session to apply for my classes. I was really really rusty on my math and barely had time to relearn everything before taking the test as I wanted to do it before orientation. As expected, I didn’t get the score that I wanted. Am I still able to register for the math classes I wanted if I improve my score later and contact my advisor to swap classes? I’m a little worried.

Came to town for early job searching ahead of the semester and when running to Walgreens saw a sign on their door saying “Permanently Closed” :( I really enjoyed getting bagel sandwiches there with my friends when visiting them and looked forward to living down the street from that coffee shop

My experience with CSUC is already off to an awful start. They had all the transfer students go through an all day orientation, which meant having to take time off from work. After we spent 7 hours going over a bunch of basic resources we all could've looked up on our own they finally had us discuss enrollment 25 minutes before it opened up. It immediately became clear almost every student in my zoom meeting for our specific major (25+) had issues with credits not transferring or classes already being full. We've all had to wait individually to speak with one person from the faculty because apparently they're the only one who can help. I've waited about 50 minutes to talk to this individual and I was early in line, it's 20 minutes after enrollment opened. I'm still waiting and so are so many other people after me. Not only that, but even the students enrolled without issue are now waiting for someone to approve the classes they chose. The worst thing is I tried to get ahead of this before, but general advising told me they'd resolve it for us during the orientation enrollment. This has been a terrible experience so far and has no cohesion, if this is any reflection of the department itself I'm already worried.

To start, yes I’m going to contact Financial Aid as soon as I can on Monday. I’m in town Monday-Wednesday for job hunting so hopefully can score an in person appointment then. I was looking at what I owe to start the school year (first payment due 7/29) and it shows that I owe $6,025 (tuition, housing, related fees) with $4,340 in aid pending (due to the University Census). I have a soft hold for Math/Quantitative reasoning and am transferring in as a Junior. Do I have to pay that $6,025 and wait for a refund once Census is done? Or do I not get a refund and have the aid added onto the rest of what I owe? (With housing total semester cost is >$10k) Ik they mention a late fee but wasn’t sure if that would still be true with aid being waited on.

Edit: added more context as to what I owe in total and that I have the soft hold.

Got my Associate’s in Liberal Arts, I was going to apply to Chico. GPA is 2.7 but I am in the process of academic renewal which should bring it up to a 3.0+. Applying for Liberal Studies - Elementary Education Teacher. What is the acceptance rate for a transfer going fully online?

My boyfriend’s (25) birthday is coming up , and I (23) wanted to do an experience or some form of a date night/day as a gift…
