What would you choose?

My daughter’s absolute 1st choice (or so she thought) was University of Oregon. She got in and we did the tour and she wasn’t a fan. Then we toured and she fell in love with Chico state, a school she didn’t even want to apply to but I insisted because I know she loves the Nor Cal/PNW vibe. She loved how beautiful the campus was, how its walking distance to the downtown area, etc.

Now she got into UCSC and is having a whole crisis trying to decide. She knows UC education is said to be better than Cal state but has heard bad things about both schools and feels it’s more of what you make of it. We have been to SC on vacation (and loved it) but not to the school. Thinking to tour this weekend. What would you choose and why? We are well aware of the affordable housing shortage in SC after the first year of living in the dorm but money for housing after the first year is not an issue when making a decision.

Hey all! I recently built a a workout tracking app called Fortis: Workout Log & Tracker and am looking for Cincinnati students to try it out and give me honest feedback. It's kind of like Strava but for the gym. You can log workouts, track progress over time, build custom exercises and templates, and share progress with friends on the app.

Still early but I think it's genuinely useful if you're trying to stay consistent.

Free on iOS and Android. Would love any feedback, good or bad, if you give it a shot.

Worried about failing an A-G class my senior year or HS, will they rescind my offer?

Hello everyone, I got admitted to CSU Chico last October and plan on starting next fall. I sorta dropped the ball this semester and have been playing catch up for the last month. Despite my best efforts, a few weeks from graduation I'm worried I might fail second semester English. Will they rescind my offer for failing to get a C- or above in this class? If I fail to meet the requirements, can I still finish the class over summer and start Chico in the fall? Just wondering if anyone's had any experience with the transition period.

Thanks 🙏.

Looking for someone to take over this lease.

Good afternoon, Chico Reddit. My mom recently leased an apartment for my little sister in Chico to start on August 15th 2026 and ongoing until July 31st of 2027. This was when my little sister was accepted into Chico State. The issue is that my mom has recently been diagnosed with a sarcoma. She is the breadwinner between my parents and her having to take a step back from working limits the ability she'll have to assist my sister. We tried talking with the complex in order to have them place the apartment back on the market but that's a no go. That being said we're looking for someone who would want to take over this lease so here's some info on the apartment and I hope we meet someone who wants it.

Wild Cat Crossing, 1115 W Sacramento Ave. No apartment number has been given and will be disclosed closer to the move in date. 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, 1300 per month, 1300 deposit. 736.67 first month due to it starting in the middle of the month. If you're interested or have questions please private message me, I'll give you my phone number and we can discuss it. Thank you for reading.
