how much would i get back?
I don’t dorm or anything so how much would i get back after all the fees n shi? might be a dumb question but i got 3.2k today but felt like it was short
I created a chrome extension that shows RateMyProfessors ratings directly in CSULB's class search.
Hey everyone, I'm a CS major at CSULB and every time I registered for classes I'd have a MyCSULB tab open and an RMP tab open, constantly alt-tabbing to check professor ratings. Got annoyed enough that I just built a Chrome extension to fix it. It shows the RMP rating right next to each instructor's name on the MyCSULB class search page, and clicking it expands into difficulty, would-take-again %, and the top review tags. No extra tab, no re-searching their name.
Just shipped it to the Chrome Web Store this week: Chrome Web Store
HOW TO USE IT: Install it. Literally, that's all you do. There's no settings menu or anything. You just install it, look for classes and you will permanently have RateMyProfessors ratings live in your class search until you decide to delete or disable the extension.
It's a v1 I built solo, so if you find a professor with missing/wrong data, run into a bug, or want me to add a specific feature, feel free to leave a comment or a DM! I want this to make registration season easier for every student out there, so I'll be updating this frequently to make it as seamless as possible.
If anyone has any privacy/safety concerns, my extension is COMPLETELY OPEN SOURCE, and I encourage you to view my GitHub repository where you can view 100% of my code.
bruhhh
I got the SUG for my tuition covered but i didn’t know i would get hit with so many fees that that specific grant can’t cover so im stuck paying close to a thousand dollars out of pocket completely unexpectedly.
the only one that makes zero sense for me to pay is the USU 500$ fee. i’m in a hybrid grad program and will be graduating by the time that building is done being remodeled, is there any way to get out of it? i’m incredibly frustrated and am waiting for a call back from the financial aid office
any advice?
Cal grant refund
Question does the cal grant B refund at the same time with your Pell grant or does that take longer to get refunded?
We get two disbursements for the semester, right?
Just seen I got $1500. It’s nice if there is a second disbursement. Thank you.
FAFSA Refund
I heard that some people have already received the refund in their accounts. Is there anyone banking with BoA who hasn't received it yet 🥹?
Enrollment Hold + Middle Class
Hey all, so i kinda have 2 questions
First thing is that today my financial aid hit, but st the same time, my account is on hold due to an "enrollment hold". I paid for what needed to be paid (my tuition) but on my student center, it still says its on hold, so im wondering if that'll just go away or if its something that I need to bring more concern to. (THIS HAS ALREADY BEEN RESOLVED MY APOLOGIES)
Second question is about the Middle Class Scholarship. I am aware that it usually hits in the middle of the semester, October in fall and March in spring, but usually, it'll give me the choice to accept or decline the financial award in the student center, but it doesn't even appear in my awards. Strangely, on the CSAC website, it says that my middle class is awarded for the 2026-2027 school year, so im wondering if its a glitch or also something I need to bring up to CSULB financial aid office
Thank you, im sorry if these are stupid questions
new parking deal
hello everyone! i was interested in doing the new bus program they introduced this year, but i was wondering in order to shorten the bus ride a bit, to board it being a little closer to campus. does anyone know how close is too close? i know that residential area is off limits but are any plazas off limits as well? thank you in advance!

No financial aid package - Masters student
Are any masters students still waiting on their financial aid package OFFER (not disbursement)? I was told that I should get it by Aug 7, Aug 14 at the latest. Haven’t been able to reach anyone from the financial aid office and there’s currently a hold on my account. I know there have been delays but this is kind of crazy given school starts next week and no emails have gone out addressing the delays.
Easy GE’s I can take so that I don’t need summer classes.
Literally just need 5 extra units to be able to graduate next semester. Was told by my advisor to take two GE’s. Currently enrolled in 5 out of the last 10 major classes I need. Looking for something I can do easily during these next two semesters.
me
checking my bank app every 15 mins for my disbursement
Anyone else not seeing their MCS on student portal?
The title. Did anyone receive their MCS yet or get info from the department about it? Want to ask around first before calling/ emailing them this week.
Part time units to full time - How long does it take for aid to adjust?
I was enrolled in only 10 units when aid disbursed because I was changing classes. I’m currently full time but because I was part time during disbursement my aid adjusted to be lower. Does anyone know how long it’ll take to get the rest of the aid?
is taking calculus 1 and general chemistry at the same time manageable
im an incoming freshman and ive never taken pre calc, i took stats instead my senior year of hs and got an A both semesters since it was pretty easy to me, however calc seems way more intimidating especially with the aleks modules ive been given on it, and in order to take chem which i need for pre med reqs i need to be taking calculus 1 and a co-req. does anyone know if math 122 (i think thats the class name for calc 1) is an introductory calculus class? do they teach you all the basics or do you have to already know things like the unit circle and stuff?
Late fees
I was just wondering if it’s fine if I just leave it like this since the mcs should cover it, I would have called in but they were busy and wouldn’t answer the whole day.
Transition from CC to CSULB
Any transfers that have been here for some time now? Was the transition from community college to a 4 year seamless for you guys or was it overwhelming? Or was there a middle ground? I am asking bc I cant lie im a tad bit nervous that in terms of studying and workloads it could be overwhelming. But at the same time I worked hard enough to get accepted and successfully transfer here so I also believe I can handle the challenge. Let me know how it was for you guys when you first transferred here.
zoom or asynchronous
does anyone know if this class is a required zoom meeting?
