Ever since I switched to viper I’ve stopped DR cancelling, is that normal?

Previously I had mained akuma, aki and blanka and with all of them I would always do the typical cr.MP or MK DR cancel but with viper I don’t do it that often anymore cause her follow ups to her specials use the drive so I assume it’s better to just hit confirm as it is and rely on that instead of DR cancelling into combo. Is that the right thing to do?

The SF6 devs seem unbelievably out of touch, Viper does not need to be easier to play.

Even if they’re in my favor I just can’t get behind the philosophy they used to justify some of these buffs. I already made a separate post about why I was disappointed by Viper’s SF6 iteration, and how the devs dont fundamentally understand what made Viper operate in SF4. But now they just seem incredibly out of touch.

The character is already a dumbed down version of her SF4 iteration in the name of accessibility, she was already relatively easier to play.… She did not need to be made even easier. “Reducing difficulty” on the character that is supposedly balanced by her executional difficulty, in a game that is relatively easier to play than every past SF title??????

I laughed when they said “reduce unwanted inputs”, AKA, ‘some players couldnt cleanly and consistently SJC off her buttons so we made it easier for them”.

And buffing her medium at the same time is an extremely daring change in the face of it all; lowering the skill floor of the execution character, while simultaneously increasing the reward of playing at that now lower floor? Seriously Capcom?

Meanwhile her feint is untouched. I was hoping they’re return some of the identity it feels like she lost after SFIV, but I think I just lost any faith I had left with this last update. They’re just too afraid of making her inaccessible.

Timing on sjc OD thunderknuckle in corner

Trying to get the timing down for the new combo route of canceling standing heavy kick into OD thunderknuckle in the corner. I can always get it to come out but I don’t always get the hit/juggle.

Ironically I can hit the sjc into burn kick more consistently.
