Full or Partial PPF

Picking up my new CX-50 Hybrid in Soul Red in a couple weeks and I’ve heard the paint notoriously prone to chips so I’m planning to get PPF (aftermarket shop). Trying to decide should I have the full car done or just the highest risk areas?

Gas vs. Hybrid

I'm most likely buying a CX-50 in the next week or two. I've been looking at the gas model (premium AWD) mostly because I work from home so my mileage is very low.

I like the idea of hybrid and I've recently heard that hybrid engines have fewer problems and perform better.

A few facts:
About 2500 miles per year
Suburban roads
Highway maybe once every month or two
We have cold, snowy winters
I typically keep cars about 10 years

I know I'm in the minority here...

...but I don't care for Tuxmats. The texture is odd. So what's a good high wall floor mat/floor liner? I usually go with Huskyliners, but I've read mixed reviews of the fit in the CX-50.

So, I'd appreciate any recommendations for liners that fit very well, have good coverage including the full dead pedal. Thanks.

My CX50 felt fancy staying in a cabin garage this past weekend.

It was a little timid staying outside with the black bears but some mountain zoomzooms helped it feel normal again.

Has anyone gone from turbo to hybrid?

My turbo, which I mostly loved, was recently totaled in an accident. I'd have no issues replacing it with an updated model, but my life circumstances have changed since I originally purchased the vehicle (I have moved and my daily round-trip commute has gone from 20 to 60 miles - and in general I just do a lot more driving than I did when I initially bought the car).

I'm going to at least kick the tires on the hybrid, but before doing so just want to see if anyone has made this switch already and if so, what their opinion is of the change. I really enjoy the driving dynamics of the CX-50 turbo, but if driving the hybrid is at least somewhat similar, the savings on gas is pretty compelling to me.

Hey guys . I got a nail in my tire yesterday and brought it to a tire shop to get patched . The tire shop told me my tire was bad due to an indent in the tire. I checked all 4 and they all have this indent . Is this normal? Bad Batch? Has anyone else noticed it on their vehicles . It is a 2023 Cx-50

All 4 tires in the sidewall

Is it bad to refill my gas tank weekly? I’m a college student so I have a tighter budget and I feel like this helps me budget better along with making sure I never get stranded. I use just barely over 1/4 tank of gas a week. I just want to make sure this won’t cause issues down the road? Thanks

PSA, you can roll down your windows using only your key fob.

Press the unlock button on the key fob 3 times in quick succession, then hold the button down and the windows will start to roll down.

I just found this out today and thought it would be a good tip with the current heat we're dealing with. I searched this subreddit and found only one or two old posts mentioning, so a lot of people might be unaware of this feature.

I happened to be walking by my coworker's truck today when all the windows suddenly went down without him in it. I asked him about it and he said he did it with the key fob, and my car probably has it too. I looked it up and sure enough, the CX-50 has this feature as well. Pretty nifty!

Is this an expensive fix?

I installed the straps of a bike rack wrong and lifted the tailgate which bent this panel on the top of the car in two places. Will I have to get the panel replaced or can it be repaired? Also, should I take it to the dealership or take it to a body shop? Anyone have an idea on the costs involved?
