Been killing it on my commute from the suburbs of Austin into the city! I'm around 15k miles in, but without a roof box or hitch cargo rack I can consistently hang around 40-42mpg

I know they said 87 is ok but I heard that it it shoule be 10% ethanol minimum. Should I go with 91?
Anyone else have this issue? When I’m in the [] mode where it shows maps, destination and Spotify it shows the right song playing, but if I go on the Spotify screen exclusively it always shows the song that played before, even if I jump to the next one it will show the previous song on the screen with the one after it playing, must be a bug? But I don’t know if it’s phone related or Car related.
Shoutout to u/jkalber87 and u/UncleBitchFace
Was torn between the CX-5 and CX-50, but when I saw u/jkalber87 and his ride, the choice was made.
My '07 Camry is starting to give out and it's costing me too much money and I don't fit entirely in it since I'm 6'8 so I've started looking at new cars. I'm interested in the cx-30 but I don't think I would fit comfortably in it so I was wondering about the 50 since it looks basically the same but bigger. Or if you have any other recommendations for cars or SUVs for people my height I would very much appreciate it!
Also new cargo cage I got of marketplace for cheap! Does it look silly? Eventually looking to get Mazda’s platform🙃
I'll be needing to get new tires soon on my cx50 turbo premium plus trim. Any recommendations on tires? I would like to reduce road noise as well. I live in Seattle if that matters.
Hey everyone,
I have an odd noise coming from my engine, at least I think so, on a 2025 cx50. It happens when I am usually at a stop and then starting to accelerate and it does not happen all the time. I have taken it to two different dealerships and they can't figure out what the noise is.
I will post an audio clip of the sound, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Went in thinking I was going to get a Machine Grey hybrid, but then I saw this. Turbo with the white leather interior and rims I've never seen before.
I don't think I've ever been this happy to own a car.
I have been driving the last beater till the wheels fell off. Actually it was the brakes.... Went straight through a stop sign.🛑
Drove that car for years with not a single crack in my windshield. Day 2 with the first new car ever and I took some artillery on the interstate. Scared the shit out of me. Thought I was good untill I inspected it after I got home.
Any cool tips on a repair other than $175 for Safelite Repair.......Safelite replace!
Pulled up next to a turbo zircon cx30 with terracotta interiors just like mineee.
2025 Hybrid
Was backing out of my garage suddenly the warning alarm sounded and the car slammed the brakes on.
Thought I hit something
I didn’t
What happened??
My wife has big Stanley's and I have a 40oz coffee cups I take to work. I don't want to ruin that area so I want something so they don't rub the dash itself
Picked up my CX-50 and apparently my first personality lchange is caring deeply about dirt in a way I used to make fun of. I told myself I’d just use the stock mats for a while, then it rained once and the driver side looked like a geology sample. The annoying part is the interior feels too nice to throw weird floppy trays in there, but I also refuse to spend dealership money on something my boots are literally going to step on. Found a set of premium floor mats that sit flush around the dead pedal and the rear hump and still came in under 200, which feels like the tiny adult win nobody warns you about. They’re not exciting like Cypress paint or terracotta seats, I know, but now when I open the door it looks finished instead of “new car with temporary apartment furniture.” Anyone else have one tiny accessory that made the whole car feel more yours than it should have?
So I just got my 2026 CX-50 Hybrid PP last week, and I’m looking at doing the tints on the front and was considering the windshield (Either Llumar Air 80 or 3M Crystaline 80) but when I called one guy he warned me that the Mazda’s in particular when you do the windshield that the Fuse Box or something with the electronics is right by the top of the dash and that it can short out the system.
Needless to say that concerns me, but living in South Florida the heat/sun is unbearable in the summer. Any ideas/thoughts?
About to pull the trigger on the CX50 Hybrid Premium, to me the price is the best I can get (northeast). I went back and forth between three dealers to get the best offer and 38,000 OTD (all fees and taxes included) is what I got (this is financing at Mazda's 1.9% deal)
Polymetal gray
Lifestyle mount
Black lug nuts and wheel locks
Weather package
Retractable cargo cover
Splash guards
Potentially could have gotten ingot blue for 200 less with the same options, but I like the gray. Just wanted a sanity check, as I probably will pick it up today.
Is Turbo inlet pipe (TIP) needed with the short ram intake (SRI)? Does adding the TIP make a louder sound? Any benefits using SRI with the TIP? Not a mechanic so trying to keep installation as simple as possible. Any guidance is greatly appreciated.
Just recently my camera view looks like this, how to fix. Thank you.
