CX50 hybrid causing marital probs

So, I’ve had my 2026 for a year now. I like the car. Took a bit to get used to the stiff drive and the control position, but once I got all the settings dialed in, my experience has been pretty good. The CarPlay works perfectly MOST of the time. It does glitch more than I’d like. But THEE biggest problem is after my husband drives my car, putting his iPhone into the system. Then when I use my car, everything is screwed up. I then have to take 5-10 minutes to try and unscrew up what he has done. And figure out why my phone is not picked up by the system. It’s so fn infuriating to get into my OWN fn car and it not know who I am. I am set as the default. It should snap back to my profile. WHY IS THIS HAPPENING? How is it possible that he screws up EVERYTHING Every time he hooks HIS phone up to this car?

CX 50 hybrid vs Honda CRV hybrid 2026

My wife is considering leasing cx50 hybrid, we owned Toyota rav4(non-hybrid) which is slowly breaking down, she is looking for a hybrid suv that is reliable, comfortable on long rides. We don’t want toyota, just too bored. We never owned Mazda before but cx50 hybrid looks great in comparison to Honda crv hybrid. The mileage for both is in same ballpark and Mazda is getting edge with Toyota powertrain. She test drove both and liked both rides. I could definitely feel a road bit on Mazda more sporty but was fun, how would it feel on longer freeway rides of 2-3 hours? I want to know about quiet ride and comfort in driving from anyone who owned both or those who choose to stick with mazda over Honda.

Konig Hypergram

Just got Konig Hypergrams in black for the car and am digging the ride and style. Still 19s, but they’re lighter which seems to make the ride smoother and the suspension and acceleration more responsive. Would recommend. Has anyone else noticed a lot of oxidation around the rotors? Is there anything I can do to fix this? Might get the calipers painted black too.

High-voltage battery cooling filter

Not sure if every one is aware of this but there is what Mazda calls the" high-voltage battery cooling filter", located at the air intake under the rear seat. Mazda does not give it a normal mileage-based “replace every X miles” interval in the manual. Has anyone cleaned and replaced this thing, and if so how often?
