Cadillac LYRIQ 345 100% charge range

Cadillac LYRIQ 345 100% charge range

This is one of the reason that I decided to go away from Tesla after my model Y was totaled. I have owned this car for 1 full day and can’t wait to see what it’s capable of. Never thought I’d own a caddy or that it would be an EV

Range better then advertised

I try to drive my 2024 sport 1 rwd more efficiently but definitely seems like efficiency is better than advertised. I charge to 80% but average range at this rate is roughly 340.

CPO LYRIQ vs. CarMax/Carvana

I’m looking for a used 2024 LYRIQ Luxury 2 or 3. I’d prefer CPO, but the CPO inventory is really limited, while CarMax/Carvana have much better selection and some cars that are exactly what I want.

How important do you think CPO is on a LYRIQ? Would you wait/compromise to get CPO, or buy the exact car you want from CarMax/Carvana with the remaining factory warranty?

Curious what other used LYRIQ owners did/would do.

4th Time is the Charm?

Fourth time my Cadillac has had a loss of propulsion during driving and/or reduced acceleration while driving or just having it not able to move when I get out of work… really over it and pushing GM for a buyback at this point. Every time onstar emails me and says critical power train failure go to dealer ASAP, my useless dealer says “nothing is wrong” clears the codes and sends me back out. Happens every 2-4 weeks since May 😐

Platinum extended warranty pricing

I just purchased a Lyriq - 2026 about two weeks ago. I want to get the platinum 96 month / 100K mile extended warranty (platinum) - the dealer I went to would not budge at all on some outrageous cost. What is everyone seeing, dealers out there willing to quote me in a DM?

The engineer responsible for the pop out tray should be fired.

It blows me away that not only can you NOT fit anything useful in it like sunglass (most won't fit) or loose change/credit cards, etc.. (dumps out & falls behind, gets stuck) but it just can't sit flush... How can they blow something like this and not be able to address it correctly yet???

I would love to know WHAT this drawer was actually intended for?

How are your grey interiors holding up?

Been shopping for a preowned Lyriq, would prefer the black interior, but there are quite a few grey options and it does look good. Problem is, I plan on keeping it awhile and also have 2 young kids in the back. Are seats that light pretty much cooked as soon as food and juice gets spilled on them somewhat regularly, or have they been pretty easy to clean up good as new? Is there some sort of Scotch-Guard or some other protection you guys are using that works?

Kayak rack

Has anyone put a kayak on the top yet? Might need one soon but want to mount the kayak top down (for aerodynamic drag/getting ripped off the roof reasons). Anyone does this yet?

2024vs2026

GM my Lyriq peeps!

Coming to end of the Summer of 2024 phenomenal lease on my 2024 Emerald lake luxury 1 beauty. Not going to buy mine( $55k residual) but have the opportunity to get same car except light grey interior with $18k miles for about$45k. The payment increases by $300 over what I am paying now.

Question- Besides the obvious- “it’s a new car”. Is there an advantage of buying a 2026- same trim over the 2024 ? Difference in payment about $400 ( $800 vs $1200) . $1200 is a bit of stretch for me financially .

Not a car enthusiast, I just love the car!!

Has anyone taken off the overhead panel around the rearview mirror?

I'm trying to hardwire a radar detector, looking for power to tap. I have a plastic pry tool and have pulled at the corners but it feels like I'm about to break something. Anyone removed this before?

Front Collision Sensor- does not stay off

Two years ago when I got my 2024 Lyriq Lux 1, I discovered that it would constantly slam on the brakes as I drove up the narrow canyon road to my house. Once I learned I could turn off the auto brake function and just get an alert, everything was fine.

Two weeks ago I got a 2026 Lyriq Sport, and the first thing I did was to put the Forward Collision Avoidance setting onto "Alert" only. I thought that was the end of it.

As it turns out, the car reverts this setting back to "Alert and Brake" everytime the car is turned off. And yes, I learned this the hard way as it slammed on the brakes while driving home.

Is there a setting to make the "Alert" only setting permanent, until otherwise manually changed?

Thanks!

Thoughts on these prices?

I am very close to joining the club. :)
But I wanted to see what people thought of these deals.
I have 4 ‘24 CPO AWD sport/lux 2’s in my range of purchase (Mo, TN, MI, PA)and all are sitting at $41k, starting price and mileage varying between 20k and 25k. There is also 1 sport 3 with about 17k miles for $43k, but it’s about twice the distance away but still easy to get to and get back.

  1. How much do you think I could realistically get them down to (I’m working to put them all against each other).

  2. Should I just hold out for a luxury/sport 3, there have been a couple popping up here and there for $41-43 but they go off market very quickly.

Thanks!🙏

Renting a 2023 Lyriq

I’ll be renting a 2023 Cadillac Lyriq RWD, and I just came to realize this car does not have a lane tracing assist. I was using this car for a vacation rental on Turo which I was planning on having a nice smooth highway travels with hands free technology. Not sure if it has super cruise due to the fact It does not state it for its listing. I know most new lyriqs do have lane tracing assist now built in to each new model. Should I still rent this car, would it still treat me well? or cancel it and get something else?
