r/CamilleMains
GPQ
How do you deal with a good GP? I swear this shit feels so miserable to play, id ban it over jax if the pick rate was higher. His bullshit gold passive makes it so that you can never catch up to him enough to duel him and his crits are brutal.
I also hate the fact that if you wanna be remotely active and not just give up everything and lose, you have to play his barrel game which he has more experience with.
Fimbulwinter opinions?
So i was thinking, starting tear solves the mana issues Camille is having early on completely. Vs some champs it lets you put 3 points in W and use it on cooldown. If its a trundle, olaf, garen, morde, darius, essentially any champ without a dash it lets you poke without any downsides until you can all-in.
Build Fimbul 3rd item, shield procs on W outer and E which gives quite a lot of sustain. Shield is nice cause with vamp you heal up health while shield blocks incoming damage.
Granted you give up on damage with this build, but you're relatively durable and Q2 still deals a pretty good amount of damage. I would even consider a spirit visage in there somewhere to synergize with the self heal and shield. I dont one-shot targets anyway with the traditional build. Mages build health, botlane has supports.
This is literally my first try with it, im gonna keep experimenting. If anyone have any opinions i'd be happy to have it inform my future experience while experimenting.
weird interraction with tahm kench
just what the hell did that happens often ?
Anyone one loves to switch between these 4? (Cam be my nr 1 obv)
Is this the problem, or solution?
As a mostly support main who enjoys support carries (pantheon, pyke), I seem to have connected well with Camille… she feels like a way more multidimensional pantheon for support and just feels great to play and more fluid, yet alone actually having a combat ult which feels incredible to use.
Im new to camille and her history and curious if riot actually prefer her in this role as it really does seem like she’s been left behind and is stuck in the past for toplane, while seeming to have been resurrected in support. I do know she has always had an inconsistent presence in the role, but I’m pretty interested to see if riot balance her out more for toplane if she continues to creep up in play rate down in the depths of bottom lane.
Regardless, I’m having a lot of fun with her and she’s my new fixation for now :D
Challenger Camille main AMA
my ign is fliptik#skbdi, I’ve hit challenger for the past few seasons playing Camille mostly.
I play her both top and support, I was one of the first few adopters to pick her support years ago and in my opinion she’s been stronger support rather than top for a long time now. I hope now that it’s been picked in pro that riot will do some changes to bring her back to toplane glory.
Ask me anything Camille.
Camille's Support Pick rate officially overtakes her Top lane Pick rate.
From Camille's Lolalytics Page, we're now sat at 48.4% Support pick rate and 48.3% Top pick rate.
I posted about this just 3 days ago that I was worried this would happen, but I didn't think it would happen this quickly.
MSI play-ins stage has concluded, and Camille has been 100% pick ban so far, with her being first phase banned every game by TLAW against T1.
So now that we're here, what happens? Do we accept that we're another Maokai or Seraphine and just swap to Support? Or do we wait to see if Riot makes any adjustments to the Champion to put her back in her intended role?
This champion's identity is just doomed !!!
The champ needs a midscope asap. She is listed as a duelist when you hover her in champ select = she's bad at it. Riot says she is meant to be a 1 v 9 champion late game.. guess what. She is far from that. Her kit screams "I kill tanks" with her hybrid and true dmg yet she struggles against tanks unlike most other toplaners like ambessa yone fiora darius gwen etc.. Yone and Ambessa are just as good at killing squishy champions as Camille if not better. The champ has a lockdown on R which is the only reason why she is relevant in top and especially support. Being able to ult someone and basically guarantee your team the kill is a massive win rate spike for her. Since the removal of DS and the wall changes she's been feeling awful to play. Been playing mostly other champs but I still get back to Camille from time to time for the good old times. I really love the champion but her champion identity has been screwed over by the balance team over the years and specifically ever since the durability patch.. that's when the champ started going downhill.. If anyone from Riot is reading this I hope you guys realize no one is happy with the state of the champion. Extremely boring and unfun compared to before and somehow the champ still feels fun to me (used to be tens of times more fun to play though!). I really miss the old Camille...
Dear Camille mains, as a Swain OTP
If Swain gets to be a support, so can Camille.
Welcome to being a support now.
Top lane Camille mains, be ready to be invalidated and pushed away over time as support takes over any balance or design decisions.
At least you're a pro issue, compared to Swain who's only a low elo issue. That should maybe give you some optimism that Riot actually forces Camille back to top lane at some point.
Tweak for modern league and toplane
She's unsatisfying and is currently better in support role.
Would you guys take some combat value at the cost of her target access and utility?
Outside of combat stats/mechanics, her E has ridiculous range and utility for its cooldown, and her R has characteristics and similar results to other lockdown and utility ults in the game.
Those parts of her kit encourage her for support role, and are a pretty big investment of her power budget, which takes away from her combat capability.
Camille is nearly exclusively a support champion in Challenger (16.13)
I posted about this on the main league sub - 95% of Camille's games in Challenger are as support now. The yellow portion of her bar is her support picks, and purple is top.

Camille support items
With traditional Camille top, her items always are Tri into Ravenous; and the following items are usually shojin/steraks/GA/Maw etc. Is there a reason why sundered is the go to build as support rather than any of the traditional bruiser items (except that it's a cheaper build)? Also wouldn't the cheap tank items e.g bandlepipes and protoplasm also be good?
I'm just disappointed at this point
Played her since when i first started playing lol just to get Maokai'd
