Went solo camping for the very first time this past weekend! Went to a conservation near me (about 45 minute bike ride). Was super comfy and would absolutely do again. Thank all for the recommendations on the dehydrated food, worked a treat!
I recently built a DIY hard sided, slide in camper for my 2020 Tundra and wanted to share some progress!
The frame is made out of Aluminum Extrusions with ACP paneling on the outside. I used birch plywood as the interior panels and a small electrical setup for the fridge, lights, fan, and linear actuators.
Working on an interior roof and lights now and have a lot of ideas for the future. Looking forward to sharing more about my experiences going forward and learning from others too!

Our 3rd camping trip this year. Getting used to setting up the tarp and glad I gained some experience beforehand as I needed to prepare for the storm. Things held up on a heavy down pour but when the wind started to go, I almost lost a tarp. Learned from this and can better prepare next time out. Buying a tent we can stand in has been a fantastic upgrade.
We saw 13 shooting stars on night.
I wish the site was further away from the highway.
I've got a makeshift bed laid out for this wild looking dog of mine under our ez up. He wants to sit in the rain on the wet grass. Go figure.
