I’m in Montreal working from home they didn’t even try to deliver my package they just left a notice so useless
My cousin sent a small envelope from Germany to Canada through DHL. He saw that it got to Canada about a week and a half ago, so we were awaiting someone coming and needing a signature, or getting a notice in the mail, to pick up and sign. He just looked up the tracking again, it says it couldn't be delivered and is going back to Germany. What the heck. Address was fine.
hello, I’m seeing this “items re-routed due to processing error possible delay” Should I worry about it?
I am sending my package to Embassy in Ottawa City.
It is showing like that since Aug 17 and now is Aug 18. I was wondering how much longer can I wait to confirm if my package has been sent or not? thank you!
please someone help me out with some info
Posted here last week about a delayed package and still haven’t received it after 13 days.
Opened a ticket as the receiver, they said if by Aug.13 they don’t have it, they will message with next steps. After a week they closed it with no answer and just said to get the sender to open a ticket to start a CLAIM. I tried calling again and a different agent now gave me a date of Aug.31 as the deadline for them to tell me what happened. (I doubt they are investigating at all since it seems i’m told something different every time)
I did so, as the sender is a family member, when trying to open the claim last week the agent on the phone asked them to wait until September 3rd, another random date. They said no, they would rather get this over with, so the agent asked to wait to start the claim until monday or tuesday (today - Aug 18).
The sender tried to start the claim today, the agents refused to start it saying they have to wait until the 31st. Total BS, as I’ve seen numerous posts saying they started a claim while their packages were still “delayed”. I was told by CP themselves to get the sender to start a claim and I also got advice from a former delivery employee to start my claim because they would rather find the package than have to pay the sender. YES, the package is insured by the sender as well…
What can I do about this?
my ems package from japan cleared customs sunday afternoon, but it didn’t give me the “item in transit” update, so it’s still in richmond, and no update since sunday. is there a delay over there? because i got another ems package from japan couple weeks ago and it cleared customs on sunday and came to edmonton through the long weekend and i got it on tuesday
so is there a delay at the richmond hub and i just got lucky last week?
So, lettermail has never exactly been stellar in terms of delivery times or consistency. Things order from across the province arrive a day or two later, while things within town might take a week during bad weather or delays.
Now? Oh my god, stuff never arrives at all, or it can take weeks for something mailed from 10 minutes up the road to arrive.
Are there still rolling strikes going on? I'm honestly baffled otherwise.
Tracked parcels dont fair much better these days either... you pay for express delivery and something arrives a week later, or again, might not arrive at all...
But I'll be damned, flyers are always there to jam up your mailbox. It's a miracle!
Hi everyone,
I am at a loss and I’m trying to understand what is happening. On August 13th, I had 3 packages out for delivery. One originated from Vancouver, one from Kelowna, and one from St. Albert (suburb of Edmonton). I am in Edmonton. The packages all have a value of over $500 and they’re all from different stores. They were all out for delivery at 11:35am. I was immediately a bit concerned because my usual Canada Post carrier comes by around noon. As expected, the packages didn’t show up on the 13th, and were all “rescheduled for delivery next business day” around 7:20pm. The next day comes along (the 14th) and I don’t see any new scans until 6:45pm, when they once again say “rescheduled for next business day”. So after the weekend, it is now Monday, and the packages still haven’t moved. There have been no new scans or any updates. I do have two other packages “out for delivery” today, but they went out around 10:30am and once again, my usual carrier has already come by, and none of my packages are here. I did create tickets for these packages and have spoken to a few different customer service agents, but no one has had any answers for me. What could be going on? I live in a condo building, in central Edmonton and until the last month I have never had any issues with Canada Post deliveries. But the last month or two, I had delays with every package, as did my mom who lives in the same area. I know I have to wait for the tickets to be resolved but I’m just so baffled by the situation. Any insight is welcomed.
Thanks!
~2 weeks ago, I sent a gift to my best friend at her university in the US. I'm in Canada, so it was sent through Canada post. It was a tracked package. About a week goes by, and I check the tracking regularly. It's delivered on August 10th. Best friend arrives at university last night (august 16), and no package is to be found. School post office has nothing. Tracking assures me it arrived safely without a mishap.
She has her own P.O. box there. Office did tell her she should've received an email telling her it was delivered, but it's possible she never got one because she's trans, so her legal name isn't on the package. It shouldn't matter, of course; she has her own individual P.O. box. No one else's packages are adressed there.
It's been a week since it arrived, and it's just not there! The office told her they'd likely find it, but it's still confusing. Going to post here in the meantime while we wait and hope. I'm going to open a ticket with Canada Post soon too, just need my friend to get online.
update: totally sorry for bothering you all! it was a name issue. the post office withheld it because it didn't match the name on her school file. she got it yesterday!
any ideas how long it takes a package to move from JFK to Toronto and clear customs? my package left on Friday but there hasn’t been another scan yet into Canada

I live in Calgary, and Canada Post changed my community mailbox. All my neighbours got their keys, except me. I’ve been on the phone a couple of times a week and made countless attempts to get a mail key. I’ve escalated the situation because they keep giving me BS excuses and saying it’ll come. I asked if they can retrieve my mail and put it on hold, and they said we can’t. Genuinely, what the hell do I even do?
Edit: Got my keys. If this happens to you ditch the customer service line and go to your closest depot and they will replace the locks the next day.
So I had a package from Japan (ordered through Sendico) arrive on Friday. It required a duty fee so my mailman tried to enter my credit card info into his device for that sort of thing and it didn't work. He tried again and it still wouldn't work. So I was given one of those slips you get that basically says to come to your nearest post office tomorrow to pick it up. Slightly annoying but whatever. I go to the nearest post office (in a Rexall pharmacy) after 1300hrs (1:00 p.m.) like it says. The employee scans the card and says 'yeah it's not in here. If it's a Friday they don't bother to check things in so you'll have to just wait until Monday.'
Why the fuck mark it as available the next day then if you're not gonna make the effort to have it available for someone to pick up at the time you yourself specified? I wouldn't even have to wait until Monday if their stupid handheld device had worked properly and taken my card.
I am trying my small business account but keep getting this error message regardless of package size and address. I tried multiple address within Canada but I get this same error
"Some shipping services are unavailable. It may be your package dimensions are too big or heavy.
No single dimension can exceed 200 cm and the maximum length plus girth cannot exceed 300 cm.
If the size of your package is not the issue, there may be a service interruption at the destination. See our important updates."
And on top right corner I get this
"(9111) No services are appropriate for the shipment of the defined parcel. Validate the parcel criteria against product specifications."
My birthday was on 2 august she told after my birthday week that she sent me something special has it arrived yet i said i got nothing then she sent a tracking number lastest update was its in Richmond bc (11august) update so basically they kept the parcel for 2months
And its yet to leave Canada she said she paid for express something like 180$ i sent her gift from Australia with Australia post she got it in 11days and i paid no express or anything. This is so fucked up i want to (bill)🔫 them . No violence but this is just outrageous
So I have a community mailbox and it appears the mail carrier put my package in the wrong box. Whoever’s box they put it in took my package and it’s missing. Went into the post office today and the confirmed with the driver that it is in none of the other boxes in my community mailbox.
Am I just screwed? This was an expensive guitar pedal bought off reverb. Looks like seller did not pay for any insurance on the item with CanadaPost.
I’ve already started a service ticket with CP but it’s been days and I haven’t heard anything.
Pretty bummed right now and out 500 bucks
Does anyone else experienced having packages not being delivered at your address? I checked with canada post website to verify the address but my packages keep getting on hold for pick up.
My international packages always tend to clear customs within a few hours or days without actually getting the “presented to CBSA” scan. They just get the arrival scan and then the next scan is that they’ve cleared customs. This is the first time I’ve had one actually pulled aside by CBSA with the exclamation point in the progress bar. Anyone else that had this scan recently able to tell me how long your package took to clear? I hope I’m not looking at weeks or months of waiting. It’s just a small handmade artist bear. :(
I got a postcard to set this up in my mailbox. I fill in all the information and then it says that my mailbox doesn’t qualify. Then why put it in my mailbox? 🤷🏻♀️
So whenever I come across an online retailer or delivery service that uses Canada Post's AddressComplete system AND does not allow me to manually input my address, I cannot order from them. I can see many other addresses on my street including my neighbours but when trying to get my address to show in the AddressComplete box, no matter what variation I use, I cannot find it.
This is an old house, the address should be in the system. I get things delivered all the time through Amazon, UPS, Fedex, instacart, Doordash etc. As long as I can manually put in my address, it's fine. My address shows on google maps and any other map service.
Is this something I should contact my local post office about or customer service through Canada Post's website?
Anyone else had this issue and managed to get it resolved? I've only come across a few websites where it's an issue but it's quite annoying.
In short, my package was delievered 3 days instead of 2 days which is their On-Time Delivery Guarantee. Also it arrived damaged. The sender filed a complaint. Nobody got back to me and i have no reference number. What's the procedure here? The shipping was $90 and i think the insurance is around $100 for the item which cost me $3000. Anything i can get back will help to get it fixed. Any advice is appreciated!
