I had a frustrating experience at my local Canada Post a few weeks ago. Finally able to laugh.

I go in with a package containing perfume, which is obviously shipped hazardous goods and ground. I buy a lot of perfume and lots of it comes via Canada Post so I know it's possible for me to ship this way too.

When I told the employee that my package had perfume she just refused to speak with me. She just kept saying, "nope. That goes boom!" She said "that goes boom" at me at least three times. When I asked for advice on how to get it to my destination she said, and I quote, "you'll have to drive it there."

I'm so serious.

Is that the message our national shipping service has for us now? "Drive it there?" Lmaoooo sounds about right.

No but does anyone know how I can ship dangerous goods without being treated like a trafficker? I just really want to sell a bottle of perfume I regret buying.

I’m in a long distant relationship with my boyfriend who is currently living in the UK. Does anybody know how to ship a package in Toronto to the UK? :) Thanks!

sender sent through Canada post three weeks ago, last update was sept 25th in toronto where I live that it's processing.

Canada post has failed to identify where the package is or give me any updates on it.

what do I do?! they keep saying an update will come next week but it's been next week twice.

I supposed to get a iteam delivered today and went to check on it 30min after delivery email. I found a key in my mailbox and opened the lockbox with it and its empty? what could possibly happen? he gave me the wrong key ? no way he put the key in my box without properly checking it and mail room is locked with limited access just for the residents. I opened a support ticket for this and not hoping for the worst. There's almost 400$ worth of iteam inside.

I’m F23 and my boyfriend is M27. I’m in the U.S. and he lives in Canada. I’m putting together a birthday/anniversary package for him and I’m trying to make sure I don’t accidentally send something that could cause problems with customs 😭
I want to include two custom cards, 3 different flavors of Pop-Tarts (probably 1–2 individually wrapped packs of each flavor), 3 Musketeers, Mike and Ike, and some other small gifts maybe a custom blanket.
Everything food-related would be store-bought and non-perishable. The Pop-Tarts would still be sealed in their individual original wrappers, but I was hoping to take them out of the big boxes so they don’t take up as much room or add unnecessary weight.
Has anyone actually shipped something similar from the U.S. to Canada? Did the individually wrapped Pop-Tarts/candy make it through okay without the outer boxes?
Also, did the person receiving it have to pay any customs/duties or extra fees?
I’ve been trying to research the rules, but I’d really like to hear from someone who has actually done this before. This is my first time sending him a package internationally and I really don’t want my cute little gift box getting held hostage at customs 😂😭📦💙

Hi all, I live in US so not sure how Canada Post works, but will there be a 2026 holiday stamps release?

I saw on their website that there were 2025 holiday stamps, so just wondering if that’s a yearly thing. Should I wait for them to come out before purchasing? Or should I just go ahead and buy the 2025 stamps? I’m buying these for my relative living in Canada, so they could send me a bunch of postcards.
