Finally, a shutter count from the 5D Classic
This post is self promo, so tell me if it’s not allowed. I’d be fine with that! But I’m also posting because I’m genuinely pretty pleased with myself.
The 5D is one of my all time favourite cameras, and I’ve been working really hard to understand how it works. As you know, one of the things that has never been easy to do is get a shutter count. The only software I could find that could do it ran on very old operating systems.
I recently launched https://app.camerashuttercount.com/ and I’m really pleased to say that last night, after a lot of hard work and head scratching, I finally added shutter count support for the original 5D.
