I have a 2019 Kia Sportage LX. I need to have the front wheel bearings changed. I was going to buy the part myself. Does anyone know what that part would be listed like online and be able to tell me which part to order. I would rather have the part myself for the mechanic so they can fix it and then find a mechanic that won't be too expensive. I appreciate any help with this !

Im in Canada and am trying to find high grade nylon insert self locking nuts in the metric size of M12 x 1.25. I tried Amazon, but I have a feeling those are low grade steel. I want proper high grade ones for automotive use.

Does anyone know of a place where I can buy a key and fob for an 06 that’s not dealership prices?? I got quoted $300 when I called for shits and giggles. Not sure if I could buy a key from a scrapped car and just reprogram it to mine

This is a student class project and a concept currently in development. Nothing is for sale.  

Worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. Purchased 2 control arm bolts and nuts, that were supposed to be delivered last week. ECS lost it giving it to the carrier. Didn't notify me until I had to reach out to them. They initiated a reorder but no confirmation, order number, nothing. Reached out to them again, they want me to pay for expedited shipping which I already paid for originally. Reached out to them one more time to cancel and they said they need to escalate the ticket to the supervisors... they'll email me back. Never got any emails from them. I just disputed the charge on my credit card and told them to F off.

Beginning of 2026 started parting out cars and selling used auto parts. Mostly sold through Facebook marketplace since after trying to post some parts on eBay and there were no sales at all, not even any views. I got discouraged and could not get myself together to keep posting.

3 month two and i got a couple of sales and a month later decided to decided to go all in on eBay as much as i could. And results are surprising.

At around 50 active listings i started to see some vies and a sale or two in a week, at 100 active listings sold 7 parts during the weekend and it seemed it would be like that every time, but the rest of the week had 0 sales. And now at around 200 active listings i started to see daily sales. This week 10 sold so far.

Now the side of this that everyone comes across returns. My first experience with returns happened on my birthday. And further more it wasn’t one return. I open my phone and see 2 returns pending. For a moment my heart rate goes up and i start panicking. Read them, first one states “changed my mind” second one reads “wrong item received” i start contacting the buyers and another return request lands “wrong item received”

This felt like the end of selling on ebay packages got mixed up in the usps facility. I did not have a label printer and they stuck wrong labels on wrong packages. And one of the buyers was really really mad. And understandably, when someone buys car parts most of the time it’s urgent repair.

After returns settled i got 2 negative reviews and sales dropped down for about a week. It really did seem like maybe this is not worth it maybe i should just stick to selling locally. But a couple of positive reviews landed and sales picked up again and better then ever.

My goal is to get to posting 100 parts a week with in the next month

This is still only the beginning and i have a lot to learn. Many of you are more experienced and have a lot to share, your stories, your mistakes, your systems, and a lot of lessons learned. Anything is appreciated, your stories are welcome.

I just bought an 04 tracker 2.5L REAL cheap and the only thing that I need that isn't working is the AC.

I doubt this is the *only* issue, but the liquid line is missing, and I can't diagnose any other AC issues until I replace it.

I can't find one anywhere.

Yes, I have googled. Yes, I know the vitara has interchangeable parts. Yes, it's very easy to find the *other* AC lines.

But no, I cannot find the one I need.

Any assistance in this department would be greatly appreciated. I don't know a whole lot about working on cars so feel free to assume I'm an idiot in that regard. No solution that will get my car blowing cold air is too stupid for me.

After a long search I was able to find the right website for the parts and ordered https://www.lexuspartsnow.com/parts/lexus-bolt-set~81859-60480.html I came from US and took a while to get here. Now it is not the right size. the shape, the clips positions, all are correct. The size is a touch bigger then what it is supposed to be.
I really need to know if there is a Lexus 4x4 experienced mechs who can find the part for me as I need to WRAP the car in September.

What parts to pull and off of what in a junkyard to turn a decent profit? I live in the central Texas area and intend to sell parts on eBay. I'm specifically looking for interior trim pieces/electronics or maybe some easy to access mechanical parts such as: alternators, a/c compressors, abs modules, brake master cylinders, fuel injectors, etc.

anyone know where to find lower control arms for a 1st gen rwd dakota online? rock auto only has upper and i cant seem to find them anywhere else.

My local LKQ in Grand Rapids MI does not have a live person to talk to on the phone. I wanted to go there to get parts for my car. I'm planning on bringing a few tools to take out a CV axle. If I recall they have carts or wheel barrows to use but not sure. Does anyone here know?
