What is the proper way to arrange an in-person payment without getting a warning?

Hi everyone! I got an order canceled about a month ago and Cardmarket sent me the warning for canceled orders, even though the order was completed.

Essentially what happened is, I had an order pending and I went and paid for it in-person. The order was left pending within Cardmarket (since I hadn't transferred any money to pay it) and 10ish days later it was canceled and I got a warning.

Now I want to go pick up another one in a few days, but I don't want to receive another warning; furthermore, it's a bit awkward to pay through Cardmarket and then ask the seller to return me the extra fees*.

So, is there a proper way to arrange the whole process and neither myself nor the seller gets in "trouble"?

Thanks a lot in advance for your input!

ETA: When talking about fees I was referring to shipping, PayPal etc, not what Cardmarket is due, my apologies.

Mail with or without tracking

I’m new to card market and wanted to buy something. I saw that mail without tracking a lot cheaper is than with tracking. I don’t know if it is responsible to buy something without a tracker on cardmarket. What are yall thoughts on it?

Buyer claims untracked package never arrived. What do I do?

EDIT: Thank you for the replies!
Somewhat glad to hear that it is not uncommon that an envelope can take several weeks to arrive.

I will wait the 30 days and if the card has not arrived at that time, I will refund the costs and ask if the buyer can mark the purchase as arrived so my account does not take a hit.
Think this will be the best and fair for both parties.

--

Hi there.

I'm new to selling on Cardmarket and don't know what to do with the following situation.
Created a timeline for clarification

01.08.2026
Created my Cardmarket account and listed my cards.

07.08.2026
Got my first sale. Buyer is from spain and bought WITHOUT tracking.

08.08.2026
Since it was my first sale I checked the adres 10 times and made sure it was correct.
Also wrote down the senders adres (small letters, abck side of envelop)
Deliverd the envelop with card (worth €8) in de mailbox.
Take note, this was on Saturday and the mailman processes the mail on Monday.

Average delivery time from NL to Spain is 3-4 business days.

16.08.2026
Message from buyer that card has not arrived yet.
This was 5 business days after I deliver the card to the post office.

I suggested the buyer to wait a couple more days, might be some delay.

19.08.2026
I messaged the buyer to ask if he could give me an update regarding the post.
He/She declared that the card still did not arrive.
He/She also inquired of the mailman about a package and the mailman said it had not seen anything the past few days.

What do I do now?
- Wait longer?
- Refund whole amount
- Refund half amount
- Refund nothing
- Contact card market support?

One odd thing is that the buyer created his account the same day he made the purchase. This is the only purchase he made since then.

I feel sorry for the buyer if his first purchase whould be a failure.
On the other hand, I find it kind of suspicious that this is a new account with only one purchase.
However, can't image you would go through al this for only a €8 card.

Extra info:
I'm a private seller and I think I'm not obliged to refund.
I know I should've taken a picture from the adres on the envelop. Did not think of this at that time.
I don't mind the €8 but I'm frustrated that the first sale would be a "did not arrive" sale + would feel abd if the buyer is genuine and this would be his first experience.

TLDR:
I'm new seller (NL) (1st sell) on cardmarket.
New buyer (SPAIN) (1st purchase) bought my card of €8 without tracking.
Buyer claims package did not arrive (11 days later).
No agreement has been made yet.

Do you have similar experiences?
What would you recommend me to do?

Thank you guys.

Why is it so difficult to appeal a ban?

Ok, before anyone gets mad or is trying to bash my head in through the screen, please, hear me out.
I've tried to sell a card (Otawara, soring City) on Cardmarket. The problem was, I forgot that the card had a little fault; its holographic sticker was missing two marks. It seemed like a typical misprint, and because I got it straight from a booster (my friends saw me pull the card), I thought nothing of it, put it in a ready-to-ship envelope, and forgot about it for some weeks.
Now, because there was a new set coming, I wanted to sell it for new boosters. However, I forgot to add to the listing that it had those imperfections. The buyer got the card and, of course, hit me up because of the imperfections. I (metaphorically) slammed my head against my wall—I couldn't comprehend my own stupidity. Ofc, I apologized and told the buyer I would take the card back and cover the shipping cost.
But the buyer wasn't satisfied enough and now wanted to know where i got it from. I told him I got it from a booster, and the buyer decided to consult his Local Game store instead. The LGS now told him it was probably a fake because the T-test wasn't good enough. I was surprised. Later, without my knowledge, the buyer contacted Cardmarket for a case of a Faked Card. And Cardmarket ruled it was a fake and banned me from selling without letting me explain my side of the story, and I can't even appeal it or get my card back.

Now what can I do? I love MTG and really want to play the upcoming Cyberpunk TCG, but now I cannot sell cards I do not want yada yada yada. I don't want to quit, but the more days pass, the more I want to.
Is there anything I can do, or did someone experience something similar? Are there alternatives? Should I cry and let people throw tomatoes at me?

Thank you in advance, reddit!
PS: If anyone wants a pic of the holo, dm me. I can't upload it here :(
(sorry for my English too, I'm not native)

Cardmarket does not have customer support

I have been sending emails (5 emails since February) asking cardmarket how do they calculate international shipping prices. They never responded.
Every sale i did on cardmarket was a loss that i have had to take on the shipping, not even talking about handling that they see as a free labor.

To prove their bullshit, you can check yourself.
and easy test to do, shipping from Lithuania.
lets select Luxembourg as destination.
Cardmarket gives 1€ to buy a label.
1€ 😁😁😁
its not 1980s anymore!
national post: lpexpress dot lt , open the website. enter weight and destination, select documents or what ever you want and the price would be three times larger.
there are no such international labels starting at 1euro at all.
also, their proposal to steal from local postage(tax payers) telling we ship documents when in reality we ship the goods of sales is minimum unethical and illegal.
because all of this: non support/shipping rate bullshit i have had to leave cardmarket,
every sale i handled received outstanding rating on all criteria's, they are losing good sellers.

Do you have a personal price limit for Cardmarket?

I'm curious about how traders handle high-value cards.

So for those of you who regularly buy/sell expensive cards: do you have a personal price limit for using Cardmarket?

For example, once a card reaches €100, €500, or more, would you still buy/sell it through Cardmarket, or would you rather move to eBay or another platform?

I sent the card via DPD instead of the post office. What now?

I didn't realize that Cardmarket only accepts national postal services, but I sent the package via DPD. It was much faster, by the way. But now the tracking number isn't working, and the buyer isn't responding, neither is customer support. Am I screwed?

How do you optimize buying/searching cards?

When I am buying cards on Cardmarket I am always searching for around 50-100 cards. I feel like making a wants list and using the shopping wizard does not do the job for me. When I am choosing the cheap price option I always get so many different shipments (10-20). When I choose the reduce shipment option I get the amount of shipments I want (around 5), but the prices go through the roof.

How do you guys optimize searching/buying this amount of cards and find some sort of middle ground between price and amount of shipments?

Buyer wants a €100–200 partial refund on a PSA 10 because of print lines – how would you handle this?

Hi everyone,

I'd like to get some opinions on a situation I'm currently dealing with on Cardmarket.

I'm a private seller from Austria and sold a Japanese Charizard V 103/100 from Star Birth, graded PSA GEM MT 10, for €420 to a buyer in France.

Before purchasing, the buyer specifically asked me:

“No damaged slab or card?”

I told him no. The slab has no cracks or damage and, as far as I was aware, there was no damage to the card either.

The package arrived safely, but after receiving it, the buyer contacted me because he found two print lines on the card.

I genuinely hadn't noticed these print lines before selling the card. From my understanding, print lines are printing/manufacturing imperfections rather than actual damage like scratches, creases, dents, etc.

The important part for me is that this is an official PSA GEM MT 10. The card is still in its original PSA slab and the exact card was graded by PSA in this condition.

The PSA certification number was also available, meaning the buyer had the possibility to look up the exact card and PSA's scans online before buying it.

The buyer then asked me how much I could refund him. I asked him what amount he had in mind, and his first response was:

“200€ Will be okay Because in reality its not a real 10”

This surprised me quite a bit. Whether someone personally agrees with PSA's grade or not, the card was sold as a PSA 10 and it is PSA certified GEM MT 10.

€200 would also be almost 48% of the entire €420 purchase price.

Even though I don't believe I misrepresented the card, I wanted to find a reasonable solution and offered him €40 as a goodwill refund, which is roughly 10% of the purchase price. I also explained that I genuinely hadn't noticed the print lines before the sale.

He then came back with:

“Make a refund of €100 so everyone is happy”

I declined and told him that €40 is the maximum I'm willing to offer as a goodwill gesture. I also explained that I don't consider manufacturing print lines to be the same thing as damage to the card and that PSA's grading standards can allow minor printing imperfections even on a GEM MT 10.

I told him that if we can't agree, I'd rather let Cardmarket Support review the situation.

I've now opened a ticket with Cardmarket Support explaining the entire situation and I'm currently waiting for their assessment.

So my main question to other collectors and sellers is:

How would you have handled this situation? Am I in the wrong here?

Would you have offered any partial refund at all, accepted his €100 request, asked for the card to be returned, or simply let Cardmarket Support handle it?

I'm genuinely interested in hearing how others would approach this, especially people who regularly buy or sell graded cards on Cardmarket.

Professional seller did not use correct shipping method

Hello everyone,

I recently made a €200 purchase from a professional French seller. Given the order value, it should have been shipped via an insured/tracked parcel service. However, not only did the seller send it uninsured, but he also failed to include my complete contact details (missing phone number and email).

To make matters worse, the seller was completely unresponsive when I asked which local courier company would handle the delivery in my country. I had to use third-party global tracking tools to figure it out and contact the local courier myself just to locate where my package was being held.

Finding and picking up the parcel was a massive hassle, and seeing that it wasn't shipped insured after all that was really frustrating.

Since the seller is a professional user and is currently ignoring my messages regarding compensation or a partial refund for the shipping oversight, what should I do next? Should I contact Cardmarket support directly?

Multiple Cardmarket letters arrived with all cards removed – possible theft within Deutsche Post? Looking for advice.

Hi everyone,

I run a small commercial MTG/Cardmarket business in Germany and we’ve had something pretty concerning happen with our recent shipments. I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar or has advice on what we should do next.

We regularly send trading cards through Deutsche Post. Until now we haven’t had any systematic problems.
Recently, however, we sent out a batch of orders on a Saturday. Every single shipment from that batch appears to have been affected. Several buyers received our actual envelope, but all of the trading cards were missing. Other contents, such as the sheet of paper we include with the order, were still inside.

Initially, we thought this could perhaps have been some bizarre sorting-machine issue or damaged envelopes.

But there are a few things that make us increasingly suspicious:

- We now have at least six affected buyers.
The envelopes themselves are reaching the correct recipients, but the cards are gone.

- In at least one case it was a Großbrief where the cards were securely packed between two sheets of rigid paper/cardboard, with additional packaging/envelope inside.

- The cards were still completely missing when it arrived. It seems extremely unlikely that they could simply have “fallen out” while everything else remained.

All letters from the first affected Saturday batch either did not arrive normally or had their cards missing.
We then sent another batch on a different Saturday. The first buyer from that batch who has reported back has also received the envelope without the cards. We’re currently waiting to hear from the others.

The letters were posted using two different Deutsche Post mailboxes, so it doesn’t appear to be an issue with one particular mailbox.
However, as far as we can tell, both mailboxes feed into the same regional Deutsche Post processing/distribution route/centre.

This makes us wonder whether somebody somewhere in the postal chain is deliberately opening letters that appear to contain trading cards and removing the cards.

Obviously, we don’t want to accuse any particular Deutsche Post employee without evidence. But after this many cases, across two separate batches, it no longer feels like normal lost mail to us.
We’re documenting every affected shipment and asking buyers to photograph the envelopes and remaining contents. We’re also planning to contact Deutsche Post and report the entire pattern as one incident rather than reporting each letter simply as “lost”.

We’re considering filing a police report as well.
Has anyone here experienced something similar with Deutsche Post, especially with trading cards?
And for anyone familiar with the German postal system:

Who would you contact about something like this? Is there a specific Deutsche Post security/investigation department for suspected systematic mail theft/tampering? Would you file a police report at this point?
Any advice or similar experiences would be greatly appreciated.

Seller denying my request to cancel my order

So basically I bought an etb from a seller for my brother to open it on his birthday but like the next day I saw another etb 15€ cheaper (because it had a tear in the seal) and bought it and kindly asked the older seller to cancel the order but he refused saying I was trying to “manipulate the market” even though I explained him the situation and he still saying how I had 0 buy records on my account etc… I havent paid for the order yet but I sent the money through bank transfer for it to be accounted to my credits. He basically threatened me and told me to go f myself (not literally). I opened a support ticket but how long would it take them to solve the issue? Any ideas what can I do in this situation?

Card has not arrived after more than 30 days, now what?

Untracked, private seller. I ordered this card from my own country and has not arrived. In the meantime I received cards from Germany (took less than a week), Japan (maybe two weeks) and France (nearly a month).

I don't get what my options are. Is the seller going to see it and decide whether to refund or not? Should I contact cardmarket itself?

Right procedure for a refund

Hi,

I have currently a small dispute with a powerseller over the condition of 2 out of 3 mtg cards I ordered. I used trustee service for the purchase. It doesn't look like we're going to get to an agreement over a partial refund because I consider the cards as one grading level under the sellers evaluation. Therefore a full refund and sending back the cards will probably be the next step.

Do I need to make a ticket for such a case and include the support or do I just need to send back the cards and get my money back after it arrives?

Untracked shipment by mail <20g

I've had some succes after posting pictures with my cards. Now I've got multiple orders by mail, under 20g for single cards.

However I really struggle to keep it under that weight. Attached is the best I could do <20g.

This includes:

  • Envelope

  • Thicker piece of cardboard (for front card)

  • Thinner piece cardboard, for example a postcard (for back

  • Sleeve

  • NO TOPLOADER

  • Piece of tape to keep card in middle and unable to slide out of sleeve

19 grams..

How do you guys handle the <20g (untracked) shipments ?

Ill try to post an imagine how it looks like on current material usage.

Why is nobody cheap on Cardmarket?

So I am trying to buy stuff for my collection again. I have three different Want-lists with around 100 cards on each. A couple of years ago I used Shopping Wizard a lot and was happy. Now its practically impossible to find anyone that lie more than say 10% under Price Trend in a card. Are there no private sellers left? Nobody that wants to sell fast and a bit cheap? What happened?
