Carlinkit 5.0 2air can't connect

I have a Carlinkit 5.0 2Air that I purchased in early 2025, and I have been using it with my Honda and an iPhone 15 running iOS 18.7.3. It has been working stably overall, although there have occasionally been some connection issues between the phone and the Carlinkit.

Today, the same thing happened. I started the car and drove for about 10 km, but even though all the necessary connections on my iPhone were enabled, it still could not connect to the Carlinkit 5.0 2Air.

I accessed 192.168.50.2 to check the device and upgraded it to the latest software version (see attached image). However, things became even worse after the upgrade.

The device now always shows that it is connecting to the phone, but nothing happens. The connection is never completed, even though I can still access 192.168.50.2.

I even performed a factory reset and deleted the CarPlay connection from my iPhone, but that did not help either. It shows that it is connecting, but then eventually returns to the list of connected devices without establishing a connection.

This is really frustrating. Is there any way to downgrade the firmware to an older version? When I click “Roll Back,” it says that there is no rollback version available.

Can two wireless CarPlay screens connect to the same iPhone simultaneously?

Hi everyone, I’m working on a car project where I’d like to install two separate wireless CarPlay displays.
One would be in the center of the dashboard, replacing the original head unit, while the second one would be positioned in front of the steering wheel and used like a digital instrument cluster.
My question is: can two wireless CarPlay receivers/displays be connected to the same iPhone at the same time? Ideally, I’d like both screens to receive CarPlay simultaneously from the same phone.
Has anyone tried something like this, or knows if iOS allows two CarPlay connections at once?
Thanks!

Debloat TBOX

Well I gathered my list here, you can help me to complete it.

Safe list (disable or uninstall)

APKInstaller (Chinese genius app ? Right!)
Phone Bluetooth (will disable Bluetooth Menu but system Bluetooth is fine)
BT Music (come on, it is old fashion)
Autokit (disable is enough- I don’t use CarPlay / Android Auto, it’s up to you)
Qualcomm Voice Assist / google assistant (tnx I don’t use audio commands while driving, phone ? Siri is still with me)
Google (please go away)
Floating Ball (really is on my nerve, I use FNG and prefer gestures like my phone)
Maps (using my local apps)
APKPure (Chinese ok leave me alone)
Spotify (poweramp with eq and another local app I purchase music simply download anything to storage and poweramp scan it)
Waze (local)
Netflix (local)
GPSTest Plus (gps working fine no I don’t need it , doesn’t care if gps is not veryyyy precise)
EX Explorer (using my purchased app like solid explorer)
VLC (vid hub is beautiful)
Youtube (I didn’t uninstall it, up to you )
AOSP Keyboard & Gboard (suggest you leave one at least)
Any SIM card cloud (come on free? No way ? I hate free apps / games)
Youtube Music (as said above)
Launcher (well CarCar premium is my favorite forever , I afraid to uninstall default launcher, does it broke the device? Didn’t test this yet)

Did I forget else? 🤔

Made a fake V8 for my Toyota bZ4X, mainly for traffic lights

I have a Toyota bZ4X and wanted to rev back at the cars with big engines beside me at traffic lights. So I made this:

https://vroom-web-nine.vercel.app

It’s just a webpage. Open it on your phone and route the audio to the car speakers over CarPlay.

Hold the red button and it accelerates through the gears. Let go and it engine-brakes and shifts back down. I also added neutral revving and some pops and bangs.

It doesn’t read the car’s speed or anything from the car. The speed, gears and engine are simulated on the page. The core engine sound is generated in real time rather than built from recorded engine loops.

It sounds much better through the bZ4X speakers than it does on my laptop, which is how I ended up actually using it in the car.

There’s no signup. If anyone tries it in another car, tell me if it actually sounds any good.
