Devils Fork for July 4th
I managed to snag a campsite at Devils Fork State Park for July 4th weekend (tent camping , one of the walk-in sites). We have never been, so I have a couple questions I would love thoughts on:
Can you swim directly from the campsites? Or other recs of where to swim? With kids ages 4-8. I understand the main swim beach gets very crowded on weekends/holidays, not sure if there are other quieter options.
Any tips on kayak rentals? I have heard you can rent them there, but I know it will be busy and want to make sure we are prepared to actually get a rental.
Honest feedback on whether this is an OK time to go, given crowds/heat/bugs.
Thanks in advance! The only posts I can find are cautioning people to avoid day trips there for the 4th because of crowding. Would love any tips you have.
