I've never done a case comp before I've no clue on how to/where to start from can you guys help me out

As someone from a B.Tech background, I'm curious to know which foundational management concepts I should familiarize myself to build the conceptual foundation needed to approach case decks without significant knowledge gaps.

I'll be beginning my MBA this year, and I'd appreciate any recommendations on topics, books, or resources that would help me prepare in advance.
