Hi, just seen a bit on Facebook about McCans possibly being closed? I can't really tell if they are still open or not, does anyone know? I was hoping to go there next week 🤞

I've been using specsavers spytty for many years but this year they have messed both myself and my wife around, so looking for a replacement, what are peoples views on the other chains vs independents (e.g Liverton and Julian Davis) ?

Does anyone know where you can buy eclipse glasses in Newport?

It's being resurfaced but they've only done half the job so its all gravel from by Tescos to St Julian's road junction.

Already seen a few cars have a bit of a moment going up the hill. The dust being kicked up is horrible.

They are putting the proper surface down next Sunday but that's assuming what they put down today survives. There's already a bunch of inch-deep gouges in the surface and loose stones everywhere.

Fiver says there's a crash somewhere along there this week because of it.

I have various old (but good condition) bike parts that i’d like to get rid of (wheels, pedals etc)

Does anyone know of anywhere I can take these for them to be re-used in Newport or surrounding areas?
