On August 12 around 6:00 PM during the storm and carmageddon combo, I found a kitten on the side of the road in Kapitolyo. He couldn't stand on his hind legs, was soaked in the rain, and was crying for help. He had a red collar on, so he likely had a family at some point. I was completely drained from the day, but my conscience wouldn't let me leave him there to suffer.

After 3 hours of waiting for a ride in the pouring rain, we brought him to Biyaya Animal Care in Mandaluyong. We named him Kappy!

At the vet

When we got to the clinic, we found out he’s 6 months old, male, and weighing 1.6 kilos. X-rays revealed a pelvic fracture (likely hit by a car), and tests showed he was FPV positive. I was expecting the worst.

Against all odds, Kappy fought back.

Over the last few days, his condition improved dramatically. He is bright, alert, and active. He has NO vomiting, NO diarrhea, has normal formed stool, and has a good appetite.

Because he is clinically stable, we are expecting him to be cleared soon for outpatient care! He no longer needs intensive care or daily FPV meds; he just needs 2 weeks of isolation from other cats and several weeks of rest in a crate or quiet corner so his pelvic fracture can heal.

❗Urgently looking for a foster/adopter❗

My resident cat at home is FIV+, and because I live in a small condo without a spare room to isolate Kappy during his remaining FPV shedding window and crate rest phase, I cannot safely bring him into my home.

I’m looking for a TEMPORARY FOSTER HOME or a PERMANENT ADOPTER to help care for Kappy as he recovers.

To make adopting/fostering Kappy stress-free, I’ll be providing a full care package:

• Recovery Crate (to ensure proper hip rest)
• Low-Entry Litter Box (easy step-in height so he doesn't strain his hip)
• 3 months of Food (Feline Gourmet 400g wet food)
• 3 months of Cat Litter Sand
• All prescribed outpatient medications
• FULL Vaccination Costs (FVRCP Core & Rabies fully paid for by me when he's ready)

What Kappy Needs in a Home

• Space: A separate quiet corner or spare room for his recovery crate. 
• Other Pets: Ideally a single-cat home OR a home with fully vaccinated adult cats (since he is still in the post-FPV viral shedding window). He needs to be quarantined for 2 weeks after discharge, away from other cats.
• Care: Someone who can keep his crate clean, feed him, and play with him. :<

Kappy survived a storm, a car accident, and FPV all in one week. He’s a sweet, brave, gentle little survivor who just needs a place to heal so he can be his best cat self when he grows up.

Meet Kuting, the stray kitten in our area with swollen leg.

Last Aug. 12, we noticed the swelling in the right leg of Kuting and it has been progressing since then. We had her rushed to the vet clinic yesterday for urgent care. Today, they performed a procedure to professionally clean her wounds by removing the dead tissues around the wounded area.

The procedure was successful, and she is now in recovery. Based on the latest assessment of the doctors, she will need to be confined for several weeks to months for continuous care leading to her full recovery.

Eto na nga sya, at nakakahiga na yan sya samin sa kama haha 😅 sobrang laki ng improvement ng sugat nya. Di ko inexpect na in less than two weeks from the day na nakuha ko sya, ganito ang difference. Although may sugat pa, pero ibang iba na sa mga nakaraan. Ang bilis natutuyo. Nag eexpect ako na mas magiging matagal pa ang healing period pero ayan na sya, comfy na sa higaan 😅 Napakabait din naman sa oras ng inom ng gamot at paglilinis ng sugat yan sya. Sobrang goodboy talaga. Next week ulit ang visit sa vet and we're hoping na mapa check sya sa iba't ibang possible na sakit nya and maipakapon na din. 😁

ADDITIONAL INFO: I don’t live in the building po, may dinaanan lang ako doon kaya napunta ako sa Vantage. Then I saw the cat doon sa may stairs. I fed her a pack of wet food and also left two cups of water before ako tumuloy sa lakad ko. I watched her while she ate her food mga good 10mins din cos I wanted to make sure na kakainin niya. Sinilip ko siya before I left the building, nag na-nap siya nun so hopefully nabusog naman siya at nakainom ng tubig.

There’s a stray kitten dito sa baba ng The Vantage at Kapitolyo. I fed her kanina kasi nung sobrang lakas ng ulan nanginginig siya at sabi ng guard mukhang di nakakakain. Dayo lang daw dito.

I just learned din kanina na bawal daw mga stray cats dito, pinapaalis daw. Wala din cat community dito sa condo na ‘to.

Baka meron gusto or pwede mag adopt sa kanya. The cat seems friendly to people kasi medyo madami kaming tumigil para lapitan at pansinin siya at kusa siyang lumalapit din talaga. At the moment ayaw niya umalis sa harap ko at sinusundan talaga ako but I can’t adopt him/her kasi may aso ako sa bahay na hindi sociable sa ibang animals mashado.

The catto’s still here naman and sana wag siya umalis/paalisin.

May nagligaw po sa amin ng 4 kittens this morning. Nasa sako. Normally upstairs kami so nagulat kami nung may inaamoy yung orange cat namin sa gate. Yun pala may kittens sa labas 😭 so sorry po hindi namin sila maadopt. Full capacity na po kami and as much as my mom and I would like to take them in, tyrant po yung asawa nyang may ari ng bahay and I'm on thin ice with him. Hindi ko man lang sila mapasilong for the meantime 😥

I'd like to knock on your doors for my babies' food and litter supplies. The past 2 and a half months have been so difficult, I can say I've hit rock bottom. My own food supply, as of today, consist of 3 canned goods. I've asked for any assistance from my family and friends, but almost 2 days na wala pa din nagrerespond😢

I have 7 cats, 3 adults and 4 kittens. Until today, 8/10, na lang po yung food nila na bigay pa nung nagAdopt sa isang kitten ko.

I really have no other options po, I can ration my own food but I can't with my cats😢 kaya I've decided to post here and seek your help🙏

We are asking for help with adoption. Currently, there is a stray cat staying in our apartment building. We are feeding him and bought him a temporary shelter so that he doesn't spread to other units. We have been given a warning notice not to feed the cat because some tenants are complaining and don't want to disturb where the cat defecates. We are currently asking for your help to adopt him, as much as we want to adopt him, sadly we can't anymore and we already have 6 cats and we are not allowed to have too many in the apartment. We are just afraid of what the other tenants might do to him (take him and mistreat him, hurt him, or worse poison him)…

He is super kind and gentle, he is a male cat and very gentle. We are looking for adopters for him, we feel sorry for him so much and especially now that it is rainy. We will also filter out those who can adopt him so that he can go home to a safe and able home.

Our resident stray brought home her 3 kittens, and I need help finding people willing to adopt (or a shelter perhaps that would take them in).

This is the 2nd set of kittens she brought home, and we're already taking care of the 1st set of 3. Unfortunately we won't be able to care for this 2nd set. Their eyes are just opening so I can keep them for another 1-2 perhaps, but afterwards would really need to let them go.

Tapos way sya gakaon kag inom, luya, kg gapanago lang. Dako pa iya tyan, kg may discharge mn. Wala ko kabalo ano himuon aside sa ipa stay sya kg e try pakaunon kay maskin ako short man. (Try ko lang atipan maskin way pako kaagi pet kuring)

Naluoy lang ko sa iya, kay basi nabudlayan sya mag bun-a. Kaluoy pero kay bug at sa bulsa kapin pagd nga budgeted lang finances.
