Céline Dion - If We Could Start Over (Official Audio)

Céline has a lot of underrated gems from this album. She really just slid into English music and owned it. Her language lessons really paid off. Céline is so articulate in this song, and every word comes out sharp; you’d swear she always spoke English.

Celine lyrics

Greetings to all my canadian/or other english speaking friends. I'm requesting your expertise in pronunciation. Every time I'm listening to Celine Dion's cover of Heart classic "Alone", for me it sounds like she is singing "how do I get through alone" instead of "how do I get you alone" (which in my opinion would have made more sense in regards to the nature of the song). I'm mainly listening to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbRfapWaOKk. Being from Sweden I'm not a native english speaker, so obviously I might be wrong, but I think there is a distictive difference in how Celine is pronuonces "you" in the chorus compared to how she prounuonces it elsewhere. AI suggested regional way of expression, but it stilll feels weird. What do you experts say? I'll add that I really love this cover, and Celine is such a treasure!

Love from Sweden!
