5tower clears with 15 different combatants

My 5 tower clears with 15 different combatants

After some grinding with far from perfect decks (cant be bothered using all my stamina on sortie atm) these were my clears in tower. Only the last 2 clears made use of broken personas.

Team 1: Heidemarie (e2) Selena (e6) Nia (e6)

This was by far the least prepared I was for tower. Heide and Selena were both on the first usable decks I got for them for the “activate 5 swords from gy” build. These were far from optimal. Both of them had draw personas, which I ended up never using bc of hunger Nia. If I would redo the run with them I would give Heide the discard +60 dmg persona.
Hunger Nia is still crazy. I did use Arwen on the later floors to not get oneshot (that dmg reduction comes in clutch later on).

Team 2: Nine (e0) Rita (e1)Tiphera (e0)

These were all decks build in season 2 for rift.
Ironclad Nine is still as strong as ever. Probably the easiest unit to build as you only need to hit 2 epiphanies, divines don’t do that much and you don’t need that many copies. I actually felt like I had too many fighting spirits as Rita was auto playing Hew anyway (and I was capped at 9 ap most of the time)
Rita in this build hits hard, inflicts vulnerable and is ap efficient. 1 problem I had with Rita is that I did this run right after I got her e1 from standard, and I feel like her basic build gets worse at e1. Having 2 extra chronicle sounds nice, but those make it so you don’t spend them all before the end of the turn. This way the basics don’t move at turn start anymore.
Tiphera gave way too much ap. I don’t think I ever got a creation and destruction. The draw divine is better on seed. (Again Arwen was needed later floors)

Team 3: Hugo (e1) Chizuru (e0) Cassius (e5)

This was the team I chose when I wanted to play my new Chizuru deck.
The Chizuru deck was as perfect as you could get if you don’t include personas (and the gear I had on her sucks). Gameplan was to stack moon until wave 4 and then to just oneshot it before the last wave with elasticity begins. After that it is just spamming all cards including moon.
Hugo on a quick shelling build was really nice to trigger his own hunts. His persona here sucks. I never used it as all of the decks were full of 0 cost draw 1 cards.
Cassius on the known build. Not much to say (Except Arwen the goat)

Team 4: Diana (e0) Renoa (e0) Mika (e6)

This was the first time I used the broken personas available.
Diana on probably the best build on my account. Broken bullet persona and even her engravings were all good. I build her in city of mist to get the discard 3- draw 3 (this thing feels so good on Diana)
Renoa on the most whatever build possible (excluding the persona). 2x echo so my hand every turn would be 2 dirge and 2 or 3 heart breakers. Renoa-Diana might be the most fun team I have played yet.
Mika was here bc I wanted a controller that I didn’t use yet in tower. After I got the draw on her source I couldn’t be bothered to go back to fix her persona (I got unlucky). Her ap gain made it so I could manually cast dirge bullets left in hand to prevent clogging. I actually died a couple of times after using Renoa ult without realising I didn’t have any bullets.

Team 5: Yuki (e0) Veronica (e0) Narja (e1)

This was where I was really abusing personas to carry Yuki. Yuki on the exhaust 9 persona and single target freezing blade (single target is needed for the last wave usually).
Veronica and Narja both on the move persona to hand engravings. Really not that much to say here except persona OP
Narja normally is on a crit build so I needed to give her Nias gear here for more HP (and Arwen ofc)

Tell me I nailed it

Used an auto chaos run to build a deck for Selena who can synergize with Heidemarie. I cleared chaos but ended up with this... I kept duplicating coping that I would trigger the epiphanies I wanted. Guess I will go back to farming.

Tier 15 runs should have 100% duplicate event

With the save edit update, running tier 15 is a waste of time with its difficulty so there should be an incentive for us to run it.

Sortie is AMAZING but has a few major flaws.

I love Sortie to death, this is EXACTLY what I wanted feom this game.

That being said, I think Sortie has a few major problems

  1. Energy

 It shouldn't cost energy to enter at all. It discourages people from ever trying more challenging content. If some ding dong wants to play for 23 hours farming 900 black balls so be it. If they want to be stingy, just put a limit on the amount of "free" black balls you can get per day

  1. The highest difficulty is unfair (all risk modifiers, Level 80, hardcore mode)

DPS combatants are not made equally at this difficulty; this is coming from someone who's cleared it 30+ times and has all the combatants and every single upgrade (aside from HP increase). Only Rin, Heide, and Nine can pump it out consistently from my experience and I've tried E6 Luke, E4 Mei Lin, E6 Sereniel. 

You can argue it's supposed to be hard but when it's difficult to the point where half the roster need the grace of God to clear, even with ALL the upgrades, it's presented as more of a flaw than a feature. In Slay the Spire terms, it's be like if Ironclad had a 87% win rate at Ascension 10 vs The Silent at 3%; something's wrong here.

  1. Augments (Tactical Authority Skill Tree)

There needs to be defense% increasing modifiers. The HP does very little at higher difficulties (they two tap your ass anyway) and the defense-scaling characters struggle to keep up in damage for later floor bosses/elites.

It would also help newer players as characters like Khalipe, Magna, and Nine can carry higher risks and difficulties so they can get currency faster and have a fighting chance at clearing the higher risks/levels.

  1. Lack of Player Agency

There aren't too many cases of this but when they do happen, it's terrible. 

One brutal example is what I call the infinite tsukuyomi (see image).

  1. You fight some variant of the booger thrower elites (the Gloomy Godmother)
  2. They throw high cost curse cards into your hand
  3. Their modifier (Forceful?) forces you to play a random card in your hand
  4. Against your will, you use 3 AP to play a booger
  5. You end your turn
  6. More boogers enter your hand, making it more likely to get griefed and perpetuating the loop
  7. Die

Again, Sortie is a huge step forward for this game, but the deeper you go, the less creative you get to be with your builds and you end up spamming the same cookie cutter units with the same cards, which is counterintiuite to the spirit of the mode.

It did just come out so I hope they do retroactive, PERMANENT buffs to characters like Luke in Sortie, as right now he just shoots jelly beans at people and dies on the first elite.

I have HDMI E6 but I’m not sure which one is better for the 5th slot; ATK% or Passion%? Because she deals all attribute dmg at E6, I’m not sure whether I should go for ATK% or Passion%. Enlighten me please

I'm wondering who's meta now,I play this game one month after its lunch and I still remember the tressa,mika and Hugo deck I'm wondering too if It's still meta or at least viable,also I'm guessing mika is still a meta support she's too strong but I'm not sure if Cassius is still meta, also there's Veronica one of the best support I hope she's still meta and mei lin a meta dps back then so please tell me if they're still meta, also I quit this game when chizuru banner because I'm too unlucky and I didn't get chizuru so I quit and now I'm back because I see there's half anniversary now.

I need Diana so bad omg.

I started 2 weeks ago and super over-invested in Heidemarie because she's pretty and I like her, but because I don't have enough discard my best team ended up being the Rita, Tiphera, and Nine I just randomly ended up pulling from standard. These are all my 6 stars and I also have at least one of every 5 star. Who aside from Nia can I use to help Heidemarie until I can (hopefully) pull Diana to help me with discarding?

Best Memory Fragments for Cassius?

For context, I want to make Selena mainly for HDMI since I got other Selena mainly for Sereniel but it didn't go as planned as per usual. (Especially I accidentally used free delegate to RNG something)

So in Prydwen, Selena just got new deck recommendations which involves 2 HPS and 3 variants of Drone Bombing though I kind find those weird and not AP efficient? (Idk I'm not a pro)

So I tried to get that legendary card which I accidentally used delegate on but I wasn't so lucky and I ended up picked 2 removals at the start. Then tried to get drone bombing IV but only V and the rest variant was available so I go with V.

But of course, my blind fuq misread that persona card NEED UMBRA and I was focusing on LUX. Welp¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ regardless, Resonances Selena. Worked just fine with you able to play at least 3 cards after upgrade card was used

Trying to farm heidemarie but always getting bad engravings or equipment is there any tips to farm faster, how to get good engraves, certain things to look for, or how you know a run is a dud to just leave?

Season 3 HDMI Save Data Complete (for now)

The gun refused to drop with everything else in place so this is what we are playing with. I might try again at some point but this is as much as my sanity will allow at the moment. Haven't figured out what I'm doing with my extra 40 data since I'm bad at math and forgot the 4th copy of Sword Rain was 60. So here we are, thinking about our life choices.

Guide on how to increase Counterattack Multiplier

After playing and testing this archetype since Season 3, I've discovered quite a lot and I want to share my knowledge in this post.

First of all, I want to describe all the kind of buffs you can get in order to increase Counterattack Multiplier, then put all of them in a formula to get the final multiplier and visualize how they interact between each other (I'm excluding debuffs on enemies)

  1. "+x% Damage Amount to Counterattacks". Right now the only character that can get this effect is Maribell (5th epiphany on Wolves' Dome). Stacks with itself. This buff effectively increases the base Counterattack multiplier, it will be more clear to understand in the formula.
  2. "Increase Damage Amount by x% to Counterattacks". Sources of this buff: Starlight and Dreams memory frag set, Victor's Laurel (S2 planet exclusive equipment), Counter Surge from Persona engravings, Erica (partner), Magna's E6, Magna's Ice Fragment epiphany 3rd and 5th. The 5th one offers a bigger buff than the 3rd but only for the next istance of Counterattack, while the 3rd is permanent and, as of now, doesn't stack with itself, probably due to a bug.
  3. "Increase Damage Amount by x%". Sources of this buff: Glory's Reign memory frag set, various equipments. The best one is Veiled Thorn (S2 planet exclusive) which gives 50%, but you can't damage enemies with cards or it will lose its effect; it seems that it will lose its effect even with damage that comes from passive abilities that are tied to cards, like Metallization, not sure if it's a bug or innaccurate description (I've only tested with Amir). There's also an equipment refinement on S2 planet which has the same effect as Veiled Thorn, and one that gives 10% to allies if you fully block damage.

Also note this buff is different from the one above, as they multiply each other instead of being additive, which is an huge deal, as it adds an extra multiplicative layer. You'll see this in the formula.

  1. Additive buffs. These ones can have slight name variations, but they are effectively the same thing and they will work like Morale. I won't focus on them since they're the least important ones, unless you're using Dominion, which is an infinite ramp on Morale (fuck Dominion).

The formula for the final multiplier is this:

(Base Multiplier + x% Damage Amount to Counterattacks) * (Increase Damage Amount by x% to Counterattacks) * (Increase Damage Amount by x%) + "additive buffs"

Which planet is best to farm for a Counterattack focused deck?

S2 planet if your character/deck has easy access to getting Counterattacks.

S3 planet if your character/deck doesn't. Get a Persona card with Counterattack engravings.

With this knowledge your Magna will mog Hew (Massacre) and get up to 1000% AOE multiplier on every Counterattack.
