I don't think I can top this one 🌈

I love everything about this image. The bell bottoms, the retro colours, the excessive rainbows, the confetti, the sesame street of it all!

Biscuit tin frenzy

The radio tin actually looks like a real radio, quite natty.

Cookie & the Crumbles record tin on the Dunkit label. Look at the songs titles, quite witty; "The Tea's Too Wet Without You".

Homer Simpson and several dog and cat tins. I'm actually trying to kick the biscuit habit atm.

Hellooo! (Hope this is allowed apologies if not) I’m wanting to spend my birthday doing my favourite thing, going round the charity shops! I live in Blackpool so hit st Anne’s, and rest of the fylde regularly. I was wondering if anyone can suggest any areas to go to for the day particularly ones with good bric o brac sections :) TIA

Did a run and came back with something as well

Dropped off a few bags and boxes to clear some space, saw this is front of shop next door. They were happy for me to take it for free! Now I have to clear some space again...

Unique item

Most unusual and unique item i have ever bought from a charity shop was this.

The very first drops if oil from a UK test well.

It's a unique item, probably only a handful made and given to the shareholder or the executives of the conglomerate put together and invested in this test well that struck oil.

It was only open for a few years before it dried up.

Its now UK's biggest under ground gas storage unit.

I love looking into the history of the things I find.

Definitely worth the £1.60.

Whats your unique items you have found

Possible signed Steve Jobs Film Soundtrack CD?

Found this in a charity shop in Kent and couldn't find anything about it online. I'd assume the 'Ridley' he is referring to is Ridley Scott.

Original Sue Atkinson prints

We went to a charity shop warehouse yesterday and found this print by the above artist.

It's numbered 7/10, handsigned in pencil by the artist.Still in the protective sleeve too.

Bought for £4, plus an extra pound for a new frame.

Turns out her prints sell for upto £120 😄, not bad return should I ever sell it.

Framed and in our hallway now.

Today's haul

I decided to start reading 📚 instead of doom scrolling on my phone all the time. I looked on ebay but I thought they where quite expensive especially with postage added so went to 5 charity shops and got 36 books for £17 ive never bought books before the prices where amazing in some.

One shop was 10 books for £1 🫪 another was £1.25 buy one get one free another was 2 for £1 and the rest where a £1 each.

We also have book cycle the most amazing little shop ive never even been in before, its so well laid out proper bookshelves like a proper book store and every book in its right section even chairs snd tables to sit down out and you donate what you think is a fair price. Only draw back was you can only have 3 books per day, i found a trilogy i wanted but really wanted another book so I had to leave the trilogy sadly.

Im disabled and never really go to town so these will last me a while only draw back was the charity shops all the genres are mixed so unless i came across an author I knew it was a bit of a pain trawling tbrough them all if book cycle didnt have a limit id of just bought them all from them being able to go straight to the genre was brilliant.

Anyone else a charity shop booker? 📖

Absolute steal of a glass and silver haul today! All 4 pieces for only £5.50 total! 🎉

I am still in shock over day's thrift store luck! I managed to walk away with this entire little collection for just £5.50.Here is what I found:The

Silver Frog Token:

A detailed little silver frog sitting perfectly on its own little lillypad

.The Amber/Manganese Glass Rearing Horse: Absolutely beautiful when the light hits it.

The Iridescent Art Glass Perfume Bottle/Inkwell: The oil-slick, iridescent finish on this base is stunning.

The Colorful End-of-Day/Mottled Glass Vase: Super vibrant reds, greens, and yellows.I’m completely obsessed with how well they all look together on the table. The horse or the silver piece alone feels like it should have cost double what I paid for the whole lot!

This is my best find in the last 2 weeks.

I think ther must have been a mistake when pricing this.£2.I find, going that extra mile out of the way off the busy streets,to the shops surrounding the posh villages pay off. It still needed a bit of a clean.lol.
