I’ve seen Breakdown and Silent Running. Gonna watch Soldier Blue tonight.
Picked it up for £1 not sure if it would be complete got it home and it was brand new never used. Its a bit of a gimmick but i like it.
I’ve just made an absolute bargain with these 3 books from MDZS!!! I volunteer in this charity shop and someone was donating a bunch of books and I immediately saw this and asked my manager if I could buy them! (They had the full set but I already had 1st and 2nd books)
Bought for £5.16 total with staff discount!!
They’re in mint condition, a few post it notes which easily come off, but no stains, scratches, stains, rips, writing, highlighting, nothing!! I’m in love with this find!! Would’ve paid £45 if I went to Waterstones!
The only thing is, I was a bit shy to say don’t put the price sticker on the cover - it came off fine on 2 of them, but book 3 didn’t go so well as they stuck it on the glossy part, therefore peeling away some of the glossy film (u can see it on pic 2). I’m guessing there’s no way to fix that is there? :(

Went with other half to drop off some donations and fount a few items each. Cardigan way way too big but a future winter layer. Whitesnake tshirt from 87/88
Picked this up today and noticed the v logo when I got home. Looks a little bit like the Virgin V, but doesn’t really make sense, can’t see even business class using these. Any info would be great. Thanks
I realised that I still remember all my first buys. I waited till one of them was on special, I wanted it so much but couldn’t warrant the cost. I also realised all the things I bought, were black lol
Black suede Boots, (1982) black pantsuit( 1979) black tiered velvety corduroy skirt (1984)
Looking online these were popular in the 70s but I can only find one other online but that's different and smaller. So not sure ! Looks great on my wall!
Found this cool mouse mat in Oxfam yesterday.
Bargain at £1.50
It says online the MKW stands for ‘Mid Kent Windows’ an Engineering/Industrial company. The cog design reflects a local branch of The Inner Wheel and international women’s association closely associated with Rotary clubs. The item likely celebrates an anniversary, presidential term or special corporate project. Signed by the glass artist, the Elizabeth is clear, also the middle letter being a J and I’m quite sure it’s the last name of Green
Some nutty stuff I picked up for not much money.
Russian toy Zil limousine. In the box, bit faded and scruffy £4
Plus, a Russian toy farm truck (with pig) £3
And - an original 1960s Corgi James Bond DB5 complete with the little ejector man. No box £4
Homer Simpson biscuit tin £1. Doh.
Viz Comic mug 25p
Two skulls. I collect skulls, got quite a lot. 50p each
Park Drive set of army badges - complete. Scruffy, looks like it's been eaten £2. I got a wildflower album at the same time but have mislaid it.
Bad Taxidermy book. Depressing collection of taxidermy gone wrong. I have to be in the mood for this.
So, a lot of stupid stuff really but quite amusing and of course the charities all benefit from my lunacy.
Spotted this in Cancer Research UK, the remaining piece of a Gladiator hand dated from around 200AD, originally found in a well in the Thermal Baths of Caracalla, Rome in the 1960s.
The previous owner said that she wanted to declutter and by doing so needed to be rid of her c 2000 year old door stopper.
A very heavy marble piece nonetheless!
Not only can I start doing photography I can also look cool 🥴
I saw this album of Russian stamps very cheap. Only £1 I think it was. I find them very attractive. The colours are so bright and the artwork is great. I don't think they're worth anything at all, I would be surprised if they are actual stamps, they look more like tourist stuff you would buy in a gift shop. The franks on them are printed, not real.
Despite that, I like them. The subjects are interesting; Lenin, politics, space travel, art, sport and so on. I would be interested to find out what they actually are. There's 18 pages of them, so just a sample here.
4 for £1. Someone’s going to be happy
