Wow, first charvel and I'm in love. Great neck, sounds amazing, and i love the 2pt instead of a Floyd Rose, and man does it look way better in person. The photos to do not do it justice.
I was eyeing an HSS dk24, but when I saw this pop on Reverb, I had to have it
Hey! I need help identifying this guitar. Thanks alot for y'alls help!
Serial number is 276074 it has been modded with a bone nut and lock in tuners the pickup and tremolo are stock
Just received this slime green from Guitar Guitar and has lacquer cracks in the neck pocket. They have offered a £20 refund which seems a bit low. For all the guitars I have I’ve never had this before despite them telling me how common it is and it’s not going to cause issues. What’s everyone thinking with this? do I just keep it or send it back. I’m sort of the opinion that new means new
My dad has bought 3 different charvels, all brand new, and gave me them to set up for him. They were: a Pelham green san dimas style 1 with a floyd rose, a shell pink pro-mod HSS, and a sean long signature.
Each one of them had a bunch of issues.
green san dimas: locking nut cut too deep, had to use 5 0.3mm shims to get it so the strings werent resting on the frets, the knife edges on the floyd came already scuffed up, and the last 3 frets were incredibly uneven.
Sean long: nut cut too low so strings were resting on the first few frets, pickup wires werent correctly soldered so they hsd no output, and the truss rod came maxed out.
Pro-mod: the tremolo came pivoted towards the body as if it was mid dive bomb, the nut wasnt glued and was cut poorly, and all of the frets were uneven.
I dont expect perfection but for over 1000 dollars each i expect way better. Ive tried a bunch of charvels and until recently they were pretty great. Now all the charvels i try are riddled with small errors, or just plain mistakes. What happened?
I have owned many Charvels through the years, but these are the ones I've hung on to. The light colored ones have been my #1s, the black ones have been backups, and the other two have stayed at home.
I have a Model 2 with JT6
I'd like to know if anyone else has this problem, or if I'm doing something wrong. It doesn't happen when I'm playing at home sitting down, but it does when I'm playing in a recital It's certain that at some point when I lower the bar or just push it down a little unintentionally loosens, comes off and falls to the ground.
Is it possible to make any minor modifications? The bridge works great and I wasn't planning on changing it at the moment; I just have this small problem.

>"A Music Zoo classic tweaked out just ever so slightly; this is a Charvel Custom Shop Nitro Aged San Dimas [...] The neck is modeled after a vintage Charvel in Zoo owner Tommy Colletti's collection, with a wider 1-3/4" nut width and a very slim profile perfect for shredding. Make this eye-catching San Dimas yours!"

I really liked the DK22 s/s/s but ultimately passed because I prefer a Floyd to the 510.
Spec’s out a Warmoth Soloist in Candy Red and a Strat neck in vintage tint with jumbo frets. I still need to order pots, switches and pickups. Going with DiMarzios.
Found a twin for my soloist. I am in heaven
The owner says it's a model 3 but I've never seen one with a strat headstock and this headstock looks too clean for a 40 years old instrument
Maybe this was a neck swap? Schaller floyd, single slanted pickup, reverse headstock. Somebody swapped in a Seymour Duncan pickup. Mostly stays in tune with trem use.
