Looking for recommendations for a local T-shirt printing company

Hi everyone!

I'm looking to get a few (for now, hopefully more later) T-shirts printed with my custom design, with about 2 weeks worth of time before they're needed.

I know there are all sorts of online companies that can do this, but I'd really like to go with someone nearby, either in or close to Chester. Both so I can support someone local and independent for its own sake, but so I can hopefully go down there to have a look at what they've made, and talk to the owner/staff in person.

If you know of businesses offering this, please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Thrifting in Chester or other less touristy activities

Hello Chester, nice to meet ya!

I'll be arriving in your beautiful city tomorrow on a very last minute trip. Therefore, I need advice. Since I'm traveling with an elderly relative who doesn't speak any English at all, I'm trying to come up with activities that won't depend on me translating everything (😅)

So, is there any good second hand/charity shops in or around the city center, or any flea markets worth spending time in?

Additional question, what's the best way to move around? Public buses? Uber? Especially if we want to leave Chester for a day (I'm thinking Flint because of the castle ruins)

Chester Locals & Historians at Heart

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to connect with some Chester locals or history buffs.

My grandmother grew up in Chester and met my grandfather while he was stationed with the US Air Force nearby. They married in Chester, and she eventually moved to the States with him. I’ve always been incredibly proud of her British roots, and after visiting Chester in 2016, a piece of my heart definitely stayed there.

She sadly passed away some years ago, and I only wish I would have inquired more about her personal experience of growing up and getting married there. I’m incredibly lucky to have a collection of photos and mementos she cherished from her life there.

I would love to connect with anyone local who can share stories about Chester's culture, history, or even help me identify some of the locations in her old photos.

Please drop a comment or send a DM if you'd like to chat. Cheers!

Anywhere to play mtg commander in Chester?

I haven't found anywhere to play MTG since moving back to Chester from Bristol 3 years ago that wasn't hosted/pay for entry by a card shop. I'm local to the area but I don't have a car so I can't travel very far, if anyone knows any groups at all or is willing to start a group specifically for mtg I'd love to hear it.

Not looking for tournaments or even competitive play, willing to teach people how to play if that's neccessary, just looking for a spot of fun with the crazy game that is magic and some people to socialise with while playing

Train station shortcut

It's been a while since I've used Chester train station from Hoole area - are you still able to cut through the old Lloyd's Bank land (from the one way railway bridge footpath) and come out by the City Place building and the Carriage Shed?

Running routes?

Hey everyone ☺️

Just wondering if anyone had any good ideas for running routes in/around Chester?

Currently training for the marathon and starting to get a little bored of the Countess Country Park 🫣

Generally prefer park/river/canal routes and I’m happy to travel slightly further afield (North Wales/Wirral) to change it up a bit too!

Thankssss

My friend visited Chester and fell in love!

I recently hosted my friend and she absolutely LOVED Chester. What’s not to love? Sharing a lovely picture of the second most photographed clock in Great Britain!

Things to do in Chester?

I’m a solo female hoping to visit for a weekend (Friday to Sunday) and just wondering what would be recommended to visit in the city? Will be staying at a premier inn on the edge so would be getting the bus in as I’ll be driving down from Newcastle and don’t fancy driving in city centres

Thanks so much

Bourbon in chester?

Just wondering what's the best pub/bar in chester with a good selection of bourbons? I'm not looking for your average Jack Daniels or Jim Beam, more a place with higher tier bourbons. Thank you

Found a pretty lady through a cool coincidence in chester.

Just found someone's phone and managed to contact his ex-wife. She was really nice and pretty, even came to pick it up for him. I think she was like in her 30s. That's what she looked like, at least. Anyways im a 19 year old man. Would it be weird if I asked her out on a date?

Costco Chester

Any one know what's going on there this morning, stopped for fuel at 7am, massive queues outside the shop with people on camping chairs. Doesn't open until 10am?

Rollerskating

My partner recently bought some rollerskating and although I've lived here for many years I can't really think of any paths or parks in or around Chester with smooth paving suitable for it.

If anyone has ideas of where is decent for it I would be greatful

Thank you
