S10 making awful noise on startup
My 1998 Chevy S10 4.3L V6 Vortec 4x4 is having this slipping issue with this awful noise when starting up. I would really appreciate any help or insight on what this could be. I want to say it’s a starter issue but I’m not too sure.
I got my tail lights that I installed tonight, I was seeing what Amazon special headlights (LED) will fit this, or that you guys have. Thanks guys.

Should I buy this 4x4 4 door s10 for $17,000?
I know prices are crazy inflated and I'm in love with it. But I hate getting ripped at stealerships.
New to me
93 s10 4.3 tbi
Needs a lot of love and care but im excited to start rebuilding this bad boy
Bought it for $1200
Owner lost the title
Runs and drive good transmission shifts fine
There’s a leak on the transmission pan and the power steering pump
Everything else is bone dry
Have minimal rust damage
Good deal right ?
Need to know
Ok guys ,,I have a 2001 Chevy S10 ZR5 ,4door pickup…the motor was stuck when I purchased it….a friend gave me a 1997 s10 blazer both had 4.3 automatics,,I swapped the 97 motor into the 01 truck and I know everything is hooked up correctly and the truck does fire,,but it seems to be out of time with the gas going in the cylinder,,because instead of it starting and running it keeps catching on fire in the exhaust (which is unhooked at the y-pipe on both sides,,,can the 97 motor be made to run in the 01 …first time swapping one and I can’t figure out the solution
Got a 1990 tahoe rwd with a 4.3l v6 not running.
it's got spark, fuel, turns over, and power no blown fuses. Everything points to nothing being wrong but it still won't run.
1996 Chevy S10 Ignition Cylinder spring..switch... thing.
Not sure how best to describe this component, didnt find one on RockAuto:
When you replace the ignition lock cylinder on a 96 S10, there is a white plastic spring loaded switch that rotates out of place to remove. It has a little spring loaded peg that makes or breaks a connection when actuated by key rotation.
Mine is cracked and the spring has sprung into oblivion. Before I try to superglue this thing together or splice the wires or whatever insane hack I'm about to try, I figured it was smart to access the hivemind.
Two photos are my busted one, third is from a video where the mechanic removes one cleanly.
That video is here, starting from the relevant bit.

What is this thing called to search for, or what's my solution here?
Thanks.
