I’ve been wondering this question for so long trying to figure it out but never can. Correct me on anything if I’m wrong here please cause I’m just so curious and confused tryna figure this out.

So their shifts are 24 hours from 7am-7am and they sleep there for when the bell goes off. Now Boden is the captain of the whole firehouse so does he sleep there also or does he take his chief truck home and when there is a fire he goes? Cuz we never see a room for Boden and if severide and Casey get those rooms I’m guessing they wouldn’t have Boden sleeping on the general bed despite the fact that Hermann had to lol.

Also, I’m guessing this is just assumed but is there a chief for each shift or does Boden choose what shifts he responds to at night cause when the B shift gets a night call Boden is there I’m not expecting him to be there with A and C as well he needs his off time too? Or does he only go when there is a big call ? I hope this makes sense just looking for some clarification

right hear me out on this if you rewatch the show all the way up till season 10 specifically episode 5 you realise that was the perfect place to end the show the episode ends with casey leaving to look after the darden boys and hes dating brett severide and kidd are married earlier in that episode cruz has his kid the frequent flier ambulance is setup and being used and chief boden has left 51 i just think personally instead of trying to drag thr show further on new characters trying too tie things together badly they should have just built it up to this point where not everything was perfect but the main storylines at the time where wrapped up it was a perfect place to stop in my opinion

i just dont understand why they decided too continue the show beyond this point

Gonna be weird seeing Severide with a white captain shirt, it just gonna feel off, i was so used to seeing severide in a blue liuetenant shirt.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that in Chicago... the police are never dispatched or on-scene first or simultaneously to *fires...car accidents..*etc..?!!

Just finished the episode where Hallie dies. I always find it so odd that the only person that moves to comfort Casey is Mills. I get it that most times people don’t know how to react to situations like that, but everyone had worked with Matt so much longer than Peter yet he was the only one that stepped in.

Can’t find a pic but Kyri shows up, before securing his role as Ritter on Fire, appears as the son of a stubborn man needing treatment at the hospital. Somehow during my first watch of Med I didn’t even notice him.

Something I wonder is- did the writers like his acting and think of him when a role came up on a sister show ? Not the first time at all this has happened with a Dick Wolf show- where a small part one episode actor returns later on to play a new character with a significantly bigger recurring role

OMG! I just watched it. I know I'm a little behind, but wow! I always try my hardest to keep up with the show. I absolutely love the crossovers and the finales. I got my mom onto the show and I’m rewatching season 1 with her and I haven’t watched in about 1 1/2 years. I’m up to the part when mills is finding out about what really happened with his dad. Anyway, am I buggin or I swear didn’t Mills and Boden get into a physically altercation or something. Like Mills punched him. Idk if I’m combining that into a different show I don’t remember.

I’m on a rewatch (end of season 8, which irrelevant) and have just randomly started thinking about the Renee’s in the earlier seasons. I’m absolutely blanking right now and mortified to admit this, but I’m so confused. Was there three? Kelly’s ex-fiancé, Kelly’s rescue and Shay’s toxic relationship?

If anyone can clear this up for me, it’d be greatly appreciated. I would’ve used Chat GPT—which I would use more than Google and I’m practically dependent on—but it’s not been working for me for weeks.
