Gas Price Relief Via Transit

This cost of gas is really burning holes in the wallet. We gotta look for clever ways to get some relief, whether its seeking that from elected officials or whoever. Has anyone put serious thought into using the recent CTA funding (something about getting billions in aid from JB Pritzker clever bait-and-switch tactic...) to subsidize IL gas costs? Like....stop funding the CTA as much so we can catch a break at the pump??
