Looking for advice: I'm Spanish and my son speaks polish which I don't understand

For context: I'm Spanish and my husband is Polish. We met over a decade ago in Scotland and we've lived there until recently. Our two sons were born there and since we don't speak each other languages we've always spoken in English between each other.

We now live in Poland and my eldest (2 yo) has caught up very quickly to Polish and seems to be forgetting all the words he could once say in both Spanish and English. Up till we moved to Poland his mother tongue was Spanish, he would speak and understand it the best, followed by English. And Polish was the one he would struggle the most to even understand.

Since Polish is such a difficult language and we've only lived here for a short period of time I don't understand most of the words. He's also due to start nursery full-time which means he will mostly speak in Polish.

Has anyone had the same situation where you can't understand what your son is saying? What can I do in the meanwhile as I learn Polish? Will it affect our bond?

I'm so scared I won't be able to communicate with either of my sons.
