Greetings -- I traveled through Maoxian (or "Mao County") various times across 2024-2025. I was fortunate to be able to visit all 11 of its towns... and it still wasn't enough. There are so many villages that aren't on maps (although my Chinese is rather poor). Just getting around to sharing some of my photos.

For me there is a personal connection with the location, and the Qiang ethnic group, but it is a captivating place for a lot of other reasons too. I hope to go back many more times.
