Why is Choujin x so hidden?

I read the whole manga in two days.I heard about it in a youtube video first but never really thought about reading it.Then i just gave it a try and got hooked. After i read the latest chapter i was lookkng for some fan content and realized just how little there it is of it.The most viewed video of it doesnt even have 200k views. Its just my opinion or maybe its my recency bias talking but i think it is already better than tokyo ghoul. So why is it not more mainstream?

"in other words... the boy has a certain knack for fighting"

The foreshadowing for Azuma being a war Choujin is crazy.

When Azuma awakens as a Choujin, his complex was tied to the imagery of wars (jets, knight , blade, and tank), which then cuts to his face as the narrator says "Choujin".

It also fits that Queem's ability was to create iron, and everything in the imagery was also tied to iron.

And then revolving cog, it probably represent Azuma is in a constant cycle of resetting and reviving as a kid.

I am not sure to spoiler tag it or not but I did it anyway, just in case.

Btw, does anyone have a theory about what Azuma's connection to the dog (or hyena?) may represent?"

Saying the quiet part out loud : Palma is becoming wasted potential

How could anyone not like Palma?? It's just the way that Ishida's been writing her lately that kinda fumbles her character and her potential. When she was first introduced she had a perfect balance of being this cute naive girl while also having this morbid side to her but now basically her whole character turned into Tokio's love interest and chances for Ishida to make goonslop of her. She also doesnt do anything in the tower raid even though she was training to fight and her abilities wouldve been extremely useful to have around (while it probably would be inhumane to bring her allies back to life as a zombie without their consent). Either way shes still a good character Ishida just needs to give her something to do

I pronounce Tokio “Toe-kie-oh”

This isn’t even natural per se but intentional and now the unflinching norm for me. I got into Ishida’s glorious work when I read TG + Re in a month’s span last October. I immediately jumped into Choujin a few days later and just couldn’t fathom the main character would be named Tokyo. Maybe some people like it but I was just like “…really?” So within 10 chapters in I just said nahhh I refuse. I’m scrolling through reading all the posts and realized I’m probably in an extreme minority lmao, just wondering if anyone else does haha

Palma x Tokio one of the best shonen ship right now

I hope we will see them together a lot and their relationship develop on same level as touka and kaneki.

Sorry seinen and shonen

What exactly did Tokyo do here?

Can someone tell me what move Tokio is using here? That was the first and last time I saw Tokio do that.

My poor guy

Everyone talking about the tokio glow-up while this exists.

I dont think i've laughed that hard since the "meanwhile" incedent in tokyo ghoul re.

Why was this plot point forgotten?

During the island arc, Simon engages in a fight with Batista and basically gets no-diffed and after that Batista resists the urge to take his swords and promises that he’ll do it later, after that Simon is seen feeling wanting to help get tokio from him but can’t because of his weakness wich makes him feel useless and hopeless. I thought that this would lead to him becoming stronger so that he’d fight against him during the war but in the war Simon didn’t even see or mention Batista or the Nue. Why was this plot point not used? I understand that the point of his character wasn’t revenge but it was clearly set up.

Bruh
