Using an AYN Thor Pro. I just finished Chrono Trigger for the first time in 20 years, and my first time ever playing the DS version. I want to do another play through of Chrono Cross but wanted to know if there are widescreen mods, texture mods, etc. Is the Steam Version better than just emulating the PSX version? Just wanted to get an idea of what this community thinks.
I own a Legion Go S running SteamOS (same as Steam Deck) and have had an awful time trying to play through Chrono Cross. First few hours were problem free, but 6ish hours in (I’m at the ghost pirate part) I’m getting incessant freezing.
Anyone have any tips for configuration?
I read a suggestion on here to try Proton Experimental. Tried that and no luck.
I’m annoyed because if I had known these issues, I would have played on PS5 instead, but would be annoyed at having to replay 5-6 hours, even if I plowed through on high speed and with cheats on.
Im shocked they included BOF 3 at #4, that game is so underrated. If you never played it please do.
