3.6 Swap to 5.7 or 6.1
I got a question for my chrsyler family. Could I swap my 300 3.6 to a 5.7 or 6.1 ? People keep telling me the 3.6 can’t handle it it would be best just get a donor but I don’t see the sense in that and I have a whole 300 I can use still fully functional. Also how difficult would it be? And would a supercharger fuck a 3.6 up if I put one on one.
41k mile 2005 Chrysler 300c best oil to prevent tick
Got it a little bit over a year ago and it sat for most of its life don’t think it was properly refreshed I feel like I can hear tapping in engine goal is to keep the car for the next decade if not longer if i wanted to absolutely eliminate the chances of hemi tick would redline 5w 30 be best option?
Raingards or nah?
Should I put rain guards on or should I keep it the way it is?
New car
Just got this 2015 300s with the 3.6 in it. Im blacking it out right now, what are the best exhaust mods to do to it for a reasonable price?
Need advice on how to remove Vinyl Chrome Delete Tape
I got a 2019 300S, Ceramic Grey in February. I really want to fix up the chipping tape but not sure the best route.
I’m about 85% sure it was done professionally after market. It is really smooth, no edges or bubbles, and wrapped completely around. I think the chrome below is the original.
Things I have tried:
-heating it with a hair dryer, it wouldn’t peel off.
-scraping with plastic, only microscopic chips came off. That seems to do more harm than good.
-adhesive remove was ineffective.
Any advice to get this off myself?
Just wanted to show y’all my new baby.
After getting My 2016 300s 3.6 awd Alloy edition stolen. I’d like to introduce my new 2021 300s 5.7. It has 42000 and I paid 30k for it. I love the 300 so I had to get another one.
Steering wheel shake won’t go away and I’ve tried everything
2012 Chrysler 300c 5.7 AWD. When I got this car with 87k miles im the 3rd owner and this is my 2nd 300. I drove it home 300miles at 77-90mph on the interstate and had no problems or issues. I started experiencing a periodic steering wheel shake that would come and go so I bought new Toyo Celsius sport tires these are the 19in rims. That did not fix the shake so I replaced the whole front suspension with Detroit axle parts. After breaking in the front end the shake went from happening at 65mph before to now only being at higher speeds 70-100mph. The shake will come and go with bumps. I pulled the trigger and had my tires rebalanced on road force. I’ve done about everything you can think of doing trying to figure out where this shake is. I am currently borrowing a friends rims of his 300 and my rims on his car don’t make it shake and his rims on my car have not eliminated the shake. If anyone has any idea help please. The next thing I can think of is that my ball joints I put in are bad because my mechanic warned me that they would wear out fast as he has had that happen with Detroit axle.
After 8hrs of work, got my RGB halos wired and hooked up
Took forever and definitely not put back together with OEM quality but got err done.
Also added the illuminated hemi emblem.
I prob paid extra for RGB halos/DTRMs/ and fog lights for no reason since they'll stay white 99% of the time.
Over all happy, goes well with my interior starlight's
Next week I'll get a full chrome delete + 2 matte black racing stripes then I'll finally move on to performance mods.
First think I'll do is a MDS delete + performance cam with long tube headers and a tune with a full cat back exhaust
Kelley Blue book values my car at 6k and I'm putting 15k ish worth of aftermarket work on it lol
As long as I don't get hit by someone and get totaled out I'm happy.
Luxus " luxury" custom matts on my 2012 300c before/after
Bought some luxus custom matts, pretty happy with how they came out
(Ignore my ambient lighting bad cable management lol)
I was trying to avoid getting some cheap wrinkly temu matts that a company slaps their logo on, made AI do a deep search for high quality custom matts and it came up with this Luxus company
They actually shipped out of Dubai and not China so I guess that's something lol if it means anything.
These were $200, so if you're looking for some custom matts, I would recommend these
3.09 differential
This might have been answer but I move been looking and I haven’t seen it. I’ve been doing research for a while and I want to upgrade to a 3.09 LSD. From what I found there are two different answers. People say they fit and that it’s plug-n-play while I’ve seen others say I have to change my axles and knuckles. I have a 23 300s with the 5.7. So which is it, do I need to change my axles and knuckles or can I just plug-n-play the differential swap?
2015 300s Trunk won’t open
Just got my first Chrysler 300 about a week ago, it’s a 2015 300S with the 5.7 Hemi and I’ve been loving the car so far. Only issue is now my trunk randomly stopped opening from the outside.
When I press the trunk button I can hear it making a sound/clicking like it’s trying to open, but the trunk won’t actually pop open. The only way I can get in it is by climbing through the backseat and pulling the emergency release from inside.
Anybody else have this issue before? Is it usually the actuator/latch or something else common on these cars? Trying to figure out where to start before I start taking stuff apart.
Lifting car in the driveway
2023 seems just like our 2005, with the thin sheet metal rib to jack up and support the vehicle. Forced to use my old cheap jack because my nicer one won’t slide below the front cowl without scraping it up. I’ve used small pieces of wood or this snip of a food container lid so it doesn’t mangle it. Anyone have a good hack for this? Thanks in advance
battery light keeps showing up on my 2006 chrysler 300c changed alternator, and put a new battery in , have anyone had this problem before ? eventually the car battery dies and i’ll have to get a jump off
AWD V8 300C: Is pulling the AWD fuse for a quick wet parking lot slide safe?
Hey guys, I have an AWD Chrysler 300C with the 5.7L V8 Hemi.
I want to pull the AWD fuse to force it into RWD just once to do a quick swing/slide in a completely wet parking lot.
I know dry asphalt will destroy the transfer case and snap axles. But if the ground is completely soaked, am I still going to instantly break something or get permanent dashboard warning lights? Has anyone actually tried this? Thanks!
