Flying into Tampa- what Beach do we stay on?

Myself and 7 adults ( 3 couples, one single guy) will be flying into the Tampa airport in early May. Guys want to golf, girls want to beach it, bike, stroll, shop, etc. we’d like to rent a VRBO and stay right on the beach, so it’s my understanding we’d look into some of the smaller communities around Tampa ( we have zero interest in the Clearwater).

Do we go with St.Petes beach, Pass a Grille or Treasure island ? We will have 2 cars so we are able to get around, but ability to walk or even bike would be a plus.

We aren’t old ( 40’s) but we are more day drinkers anymore than club/ late night partiers and we dig dive bars and low key as opposed to bourgeois.

Bianca Latvala Backed by the People who Want to Ruin The Landings and Donated to Sam Wilson!

Bianca Latvala's conflicts of interest continue to make her a bad addition the city council. Her most recent financial disclosure statement reveals she receives money from the Important Work PAC, which is backed by Porter Development. This is the company that made The Landings proposal that threatens the character of the golf course and surrounding community.

In Addition, Bianca donated money to Sam Wilson (who does not oppose giving away South Garden Ave to the Church of Scientology) under her maiden name Bianca Sabrkhani.

Fun stuff to do in Tampa / St. Pete / Clearwater area that a 13 y/o boy would enjoy. Need ideas!

Hey Florida Folks!

I scheduled a short three day trip down to Gulf side Florida (Yay cheap flights!). I've never been to the Gulf side and my 13 y/o nephew has never been to Florida at all. I personally could just bum by the ocean with a book all day and be happy, but I know he'll want stuff to do.

He wants to go looking for shells and see the ocean, both are easy requests to fill, but I'm not sure what else to do. Are there any fun activities or things I could take him to? If you were a 13 y/o boy going to Florida for the first time, what's a must see / do?

Upcoming trip

Hi everyone!

I am heading to Clearwater for my birthday (25F) trip this weekend (08/13 thru 08/16) any recommendations on good bars & restaurants, as well as fun things to do? I love Clearwater, but it’ll be the first adult only trip here.

Thank you!
