What is Clemson (Town) like?

Im really considering Clemson for college, being an environmental science major it seems like a fantastic fit, however, I’m worried about the town of Clemson, multiple people have told me that the town is boring and that there’s not much to do? I’m not a huge drinker so I would love some variety outside of that. Can some Clemson students weigh in on this?

P.S. I’m between UofSC and Clemson

Upstate SC Community Project - who we are and why you should join

Helloooo Clemson!

As a member of the Clemson community, I'd like to invite y'all to check out a local discord server I belong to in the upstate. I live in Anderson County, and I work at Clemson with people and students from Anderson, Pickens, and Oconee Counties, and I'd love to get more activity in the server both online AND irl in this area. This month (starting Monday) we're doing server activities to collect XP and a chance to win a gift card at the end of the month! Some of the activities on the calendar include trivia, pickleball, coffee meetups, and restaurant meetups. We also have online clubs for books, music, movies, and gaming. Please come check us out if you want more ways to connect with people in the area!

upstatesc.org

Upstate SC Community Project is a discord that is focused on being a digital third space. Third spaces, traditionally churches, community spaces, bars/taverns, etc are great places to meet people in an unassuming environment but have become less common since the advent of the internet.

We have daily conversation and frequent meetings. People have met lifelong friends, gotten job connections, advice about moving and all sorts of other benefits. We hope to embody the idea of community and togetherness with a purpose by uplifting each other.

We would love to meet all of you. Here's a link straight to the discord invite if you don't want to go through our website:

Why did a Clemson Jet go to Lansing MI today?

I've gotten into flight tracking over the summer. And have been trying to figure out reasons why official university jets are making visits. This morning Clemson's N934CT flew to Lansing MI, was on the ground for about 30 minutes and in now in route back south....probably going to land somewhere in North Carolina. Any ideas why?

Also not trying to dox anyone, so not making claims on anyone on board. Just trying to figure out what a publicly funded jet is doing.

Recommendation for good carpet cleaning services serving the Clemson area

Hi! Our landlord requested that we have our carpet professionally cleaned on move-out day. We have never done this before, so I'd like to get some recommendations. Who have you used, what the rate is and how was the service? If you also have a list of service providers to avoid, I appreciate it. Thank you!

Desktops and laptops

For those who brought desktops and laptops to college dorms, did you ever experience any theft? I'm moving into campus housing this August and I'm worried about my PC components getting stolen. Do you have any advice on how to prevent this?

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a leadership opportunity for anyone at the University of Delaware who is passionate about service, public health, or making a real impact in the community.

Hearts for the Homeless International (H4H) is a student-led nonprofit that provides free blood pressure screenings and heart health education to homeless populations across the U.S. and globally. Our team includes undergraduate students, medical students, PhD students, physicians, and other professionals who are committed to improving the well-being of underserved communities.

H4H was originally founded by students at the University of Central Florida and has grown into an international organization with 15+ chapters across the U.S., Brazil, and India. We’re currently looking for motivated student leaders at the University of Delaware who want to start a chapter and serve the growing and often overlooked homeless community.

This is a great opportunity if you’re interested in leadership, medicine, public health, nonprofit work, or community service. We provide guidance, structure, and support — all we ask for is your time, compassion, and willingness to lead.

Our work has been recognized by the U.S. Congress, the Brazilian government, President Clinton, major educational and medical institutions, and organizations such as Forbes. Our students have also led disaster relief efforts for homeless populations during hurricanes and partnered with major companies like Bombas.

If you’re interested in becoming a founding leader and making a difference at the University of Delaware, fill out this interest form:

Lost clemson ring

I got my ring 2 months ago and already lost it. I upgraded to the 10 year protection plan, does that include a free ring replacement if lost?

Will my car get towed from Thornhill apartments?

I parked in lot 16 and just realized that only certain spots are considered lot 16. I think I parked somewhere in the red. The security guy told me just don’t park in front of anybody’s house and it will be fine but was just wondering. Don’t really feel like walking back because I’m already at the stadium

Can anyone help with this request?

Hello everyone!

I'm wondering if someone who's on campus right now could help me price some merchandise on campus, and show me the ice cream available? I'm not local to Clemson, so it would have to be shipped!

Thank you!
