Forgive me I am anime only

I don't read Webtoons, and the wiki is no help but I am wondering... are Gart and Royes a little... ok, so if you were to pick a car for to describe their vibe would you pick a Subaru or a Landrover? anyone else disappointed by the lack of death and brutality

Besides the first couple of episodes not much brutal or dark really happens to anybody it becomes a bit generic, pretty much no one dies beside general drav and he is the villian. first time I thought it odd was when the crystal mage girl wasn't killed by alica when downed. then in the school arc no one dies, even after their souls are taken they survive, the boy turned into a devil beast doesn't die. even the devil beast kings can't die as they resurrect. I like the show but it feels like I was baited in by the first couple episodes / chapters making it seem like a dark fantasy. even in the newer chapters it still seems no deaths will occur.

Who suffers more?

Alicia: Existential humiliation due to being enslaved by a demon, forced to do its commands, revived as a corpse without being able to rest after her death, being used for a purpose contrary to her own. Misfortune in her form, suffering by having to experience all the pain without dying (in this aspect I consider them equal, because both feel the pain multiple times). She has no freedom or agency of her own, she suffers without having a choice.

Respective themes: Death and failure, loss of autonomy (Enslavement), the degradation of defeat and disfigurement, psychological Subjugation, the inferiority of humans and being at the mercy of fate and dark lords, existential humiliation, the paradox of having wanted to be a hero but being used against that purpouse

Subaru: He dies multiple times, his loved ones die dozens of times, but nobody remembers the events that happened or what he went through and the moments he had with them (mental isolation), and he is blamed for many of the failures. He is forced to carry the burden of the alternative with its respective consequences and the responsibility of saving everyone on his own (repetitive psychological erosion).

Respective themes: The Burden of Isolation, Self-Hatred and despair. hopelessness, the "hero" illusion, the burden of saving others and defying fate, powerlessness, the guilt of the survivor, the erasure of identity, the trauma of the alternative, the desensitization of death, self harm, seeing loved ones die brutally

Alicia will be the hero reborn from the ancient tale

She has already gained a regalia and has now passed the trial to get a crest as well. That’s two of the 5 chapters down without really knowing what it is she’s doing as far as the significance. But this is just my theory based on watching so far and the latest reveals in the anime
