r/CloneHero

Feel like there could be more songs on encore but theres not :/
Recently paid for chartting a song, i got it (love it) but it had me thinking about other people getting chart requests and it isnt uploaded to the website (mine either) my thought process was one hero pays for a chart and we all can get to see a new song uploaded but i guess thats not the case, how come?
My band has been doing live Guitar Hero concerts for a year
Hi everyone! Just wanted to share this with people that could find it interesting, and maybe find out if someone else has done it before, cause afaik we are the first to do it.
Since last year we have been using Clone Hero for the concerts of my Math/Prog Rock band Kyori (here is a insta link if anyone wants to follow us https://www.instagram.com/kyoribb/ ).
I basically charted our songs, and when we play live I project Clone Hero and give 2 controllers to the audience. The drummer listens to a synchronized click track and everything works neatly together!
As a musician and game developer I am very passionate about adding interactivity to live concerts and I am thinking of exploring other mechanics potentially through making my own games etc.
Have any of you guys ever done or seen something similar?
200 PFCs!
Been having such a good time with this leaderboards update!
Almost halfway to Re-FCing all my previous FCs!
Manage Library By Difficulty
Hoping for a bit of help. I've amassed a fairly big library of songs, some of which I'll never be able to play. I'm hoping to free up some space by getting rid of anything over a certain difficulty level. Is there a way for me to easily identify and batch-delete songs based on their metadata? I've looked around online but haven't been able to find a solution. There's a few tools out there for library management, but nothing that lets you search by difficulty/guitar intensity.
Does something like this exist, or is it unfortunately a case of opening Clone Hero, ordering by difficulty, then making a list and going through it manually?
Least expensive drum set
Hi, new to all of this.
First my screwups:
Bought a xbox360 at a garage sale, with the thought that my neurodivergent 6yo would like the drumming game I remembered from college when the 360 came out.
Purchased a drum set and he loves it!!!
Wanted to play with him.
Bought a guitar controller (60$) turns out it only works with guitar hero live.
Boughtthe Beatles base guitar($80)
Doesn't work...
So now im thinking I should just clone hero route before sinking more money into vintage technology. Damn im old.
So what drum kit is the least expensive?
Is there multi-player mode? Can I have 2 drum kits (my daughter gets jealous and fights happen)?
Is there a microphone like in band hero?
Thanks
Is This Hit Window Right?
I keep missing ocassional notes and I checked the hit window and saw this is this right currently my video latency is at 10 and I miss occasional notes but if I put down to 5 I miss even more notes I'm new to clone hero and not sure what to do?

Clone Sidekick 1.1 - With Party Mode!
https://github.com/Insanity404/Clone-Sidekick
Today, I updated Clone Sidekick. We find ourselves playing the game more often now that we can easily add songs we want while playing...all from the couch.
After inviting friends over to play, it became pretty clear that the service wasn't setup for guests. I don't wish to give a guest access to my hardware, or my logins.
So, I came up with Party Mode.
Control guest access to your song library!
Party Mode lets you share temporary access with guests. They won't need to verify via google, they will just be allowed to access the service via the generated guest link or created QR code.
You control when party mode is enabled, and for how long (max of 24 hours.) You also control what this guest role will be allowed to do. Such as browse songs and library, download songs, or even allow them to remove their own songs/any/none.
Guest links are automatically revoked when the time is expired. Or you can revoke them at any time, via the settings page.
Guests will not be able to access the settings page, no matter what permissions you give them.
This is only the first planned update to this tool. I have a few other ideas planned that I've started to work on. Such as support for more sources, setlists/pack support, proper YARG support, and official deployment support for Docker. Many of these features will likely take a bit more effort and time to add, if they are all even feasible.
If you have any other ideas for changes you'd like to see, let me know below.
I want to play drums but don't want to buy a full e-kit
Any options that are more compact than a full set of electronic drums? I'm low on space. I've seen some "kid's first drum kit" type stuff on Amazon but it kinda looks kinda junk.
Anthrax - It's for the Kids (Full Band/Expert)
This full difficulties this time, as I didn't have the energy to do them (yet) 😅😅
Might consider doing the whole album if it's that good!
Just got a new world tour guitar!

Made a Python wrapper/driver for the GHL Xbox One Dongle on Linux
I myself have only the Xbox One dongle for the 6-fret Guitar Hero Live Guitar, and it doesn't work on PC.
Instead of buying a 360, PS4, etc., dongle off eBay, I just wrote a Python script that makes it work. And it is specifically a Python script because I daily drive Bazzite - an immutable system where you can't just load custom kernel modules unless you want to make your own Bazzite Image
Here is the script.
DJ Hero w/Steam Deck Trackpads??
I was just messing around with the trackpads on my steam deck, and randomly thought about DJ Hero how you’d use the turntable and “scratch” the record moving it forward and back. Has anyone gotten DJ Hero to work with the trackpads or not yet? I wouldn’t even know how to implement that into an emulator
Difference between using CRKD Pro vs Encore editions of guitars?
I'm thinking about buying a CRKD guitar pretty soon. From what I can tell the difference between the Pro and Encore editions is that the Pro comes with mechanical fret buttons + haptic feedback strum bar, and the Encore comes with "OG features" like the standard fret buttons + mechanical strum bar. My question is, what are the real differences in using these? I haven't been playing for that long so I'm basically wondering if there is any real downside to the Encore edition features once reaching higher levels of play, or if the higher price of the Pro edition isn't worth paying because it's features aren't that important.
Really didn't need another guitar but $2.99 at Goodwill was too good to pass up
Riffmaster ps5 on Mac
Hey guys I apologize if this has already been discussed in here but I’m debating on getting my wife the riffmaster ps5 so she can play clone hero on her MacBook . I’ve seen some different posts about this particular guitar but they’re all over a year old . Does this ps5 riffmaster still plug and play with the Mac book ? Thanks everyone
New to this…
Hello! After recently seeing a GH arcade game at Dave & Busters, and spending the subsequent 4 hours on it, it reminded me why I spent so much time on it growing up.
When I got home, i immediately searched if there was any way to play it on PC - and learnt about Clone Hero. It sounds like perfect and want to jump into it immediately.
Can I use any guitar out there for it or are there some top recommendations for which guitar platform works best with the program? Anything else I should know/look into before downloading and jumping in?
Besides for watching a couple videos, I’ll be a complete beginner with Clone Hero. I am super excited something like this exists, thanks in advance!
Auto-Sync Lyrics to Any Chart, Syllable-by-Syllable — in Your Browser
Charting vocals means finding where every single syllable lands, by ear, one at a time. It's the slowest part of making a chart. This tool does it for you.
(The video has sound! And the calculation part is sped up)
Add Lyrics to a Chart — open a chart, paste the song's lyrics, and every syllable is automatically synced to the right spot in the song. Then you get a live Clone Hero highway to review and fine-tune before you download.
It runs entirely in your browser — no account, no uploads. Your audio and lyrics never leave your machine.
How it works:
- Open your chart — chart folder,
.zip, or.sng - Paste the lyrics — plain text, one line per phrase. Everything pasted gets aligned, don't include markup like [Chorus]
- Align — every syllable is timed to the vocals automatically.
- Review on the highway — each syllable shows up already placed, with the isolated vocal waveform drawn right on the highway so it's obvious where every line sits. Drag any syllable to nudge it. Play it back in real time.
- Download — updated chart back in its original format (
.sngor.zip), ready to play.
One syllable, one note, placed where it's actually sung — a clean foundation you can finish by hand.
Try it on any chart that's missing lyrics, or paste new lyrics over a chart whose vocals are off — it replaces them.
