Review of my OL Camion Leather Boots from i795 Produce
I shipped them using my agent as usual, but this time I used their Mexico Dedicated Line and everything went smooth. Probably the best shipping line to Mexico nowadays.
So yeah, I've been wanting a pair of Camions for a long time but never felt comfortable spending retail prices on them, even less after the Camiongate situation, so I decided to do my own research and after seeing a lot of posts regarding i795's batch, that's where I pulled the trigger.
The first thing I want to talk about is of course the leather because that's probably what surprised me the most. Looking at seller photos and my own QC, I thought the olive color would be much more obvious, but in person that's not really the case. Sometimes they look olive and sometimes they look brown but depending on the lighting.
Leather itself feels pretty good imo, soft enough to wear right away but not to the point where it feels thin. After wearing them for a bit, the creasing started showing up around the vamp and sides of the boot and nothing looked weird to. I know leather quality is always difficult to judge through a few wears, so I'll leave that to people who have owned them longer.
Shape was probably the main reason I went with this batch. I've seen older Camion batches posted on Reddit and Discord and there was usually something that felt off about them, either way the front looked too long or the whole boot looked too slim. Looking at these side by side with retail photos, I think i795 got them pretty close, everything looks right to me.
One thing I've seen people debate is sizing, some recommend going down, others say stay tts. My foot length is 26 cm and I went with a 41 eur, so for me, the fit was more than good. If you have wide feet maybe you would like to consider sizing up at least once.
As for flaws, I'm probably not the best person to judge accuracy since I've never had retail in hands, I've looked at a ton of retail photos before buying these and overall I'm happy with how they came in. Looking through other QCs, there seems to be some variation from pair to pair, but that's about the only thing that worth mentioning.
Extra details could be that they came in with the box branded, 1 beige dust cover bag branded and 2 more little cover dust bags for each boot.
Can I recommend them? Absolutely, they are comfortable, they could be basic but look great on foot and have basically become my default pair whenever I want to go out.
