Lavazza Beans at Costco
Fam,
I have been experiencing different coffee beans across the US speciality ones and been enjoying my coffee journey so far. Recently got my own SR800 roaster to try experiencing roasting experience as well.
Now coming to the post, I recently saw Lavazza espresso beans in Costco and got tempted to try it once after hearing various reviews on them in Amazon and multiple coffee experts about that being the best Grocery shop coffee beans with a roasting or Manufactured date. Even the one I bought is 3 weeks old from roast date.
The moment I opened the bag of beans that is supposed to be medium roast, I could feel some stale, heavily roasted and very strong flavor out of the beans which is same as any of the Starbucks or Peets Dickason roast in terms of smokiness, darkness and smell. After trying out Speciality coffee, I feel this to be old, almost oily and strong smoky flavor even though roast date is less than 3 weeks from now. Is this expected or did I get a repackaged bag of beans with new MFD date?
Today’s coffee
I grabbed coffee at McDonalds today and I feel like it’s not even coffee. It’s cream with a splash of coffee and it’s honestly so disappointing. I ordered it with the 1 cream it comes with. Safe to say I’m not going to be ordering there again.
