When is the right time to switch conferences?

Im not very knowledgeable of college football, but play the game a lot so Im not sure. I am using Ball State in MAC conference, and I have now 5 straight 10+ win seasons. I have gone undefeated going into the playoffs the last two years (1-2 record in playoffs). I just feel like it would be too early to switch, because the first 3 years of this stretch I went 0-2 in conference championship games.

Also, what would be a good conference to go to? I really only know about SEC, due to the dominance but also some saying they are overrated.

The Game is Here. #1 Ohio State (10-1) vs. Michigan (5-5) — Throw Out the Records, It's Hate Week.

Look, Jason Miller would tell you that some football games are about playoff seedings, style points, and resume padding.
Then there’s this one.
When the Buckeyes and Wolverines step onto the field, it doesn’t matter if one team is riding a runaway freight train toward a first-round playoff bye and the other is trapped in a multi-week identity crisis. It’s “The Game.” It’s absolute, unadulterated hostility for sixty minutes.
Let's break down the ultimate rivalry matchup as we head into the final stretch of the season:
🌰 #1 Ohio State Buckeyes (10-1) — The Juggernaut
Power Ranking Position: #1
Point Differential: +350 (Class of the division)
The Blueprint: The Buckeyes are playing like a team possessed. After clicking into another gear against UCLA, they completely dismantled Rutgers 49-21 last week. Their defense is flying to the ball, and the offense is putting up video game numbers. They enter this week as the heavy favorites, holding the #2 spot in the national playoff projections. But Florio’s golden rule applies here: Don't get complacent. The pressure is entirely on Columbus to protect that first-round bye.
〽️ Michigan Wolverines (5-5) — The Dangerous Spoiler
Power Ranking Position: #12
The Blueprint: It has been a turbulent, exhausting stretch for the Wolverines. After a bizarre mid-game situation against Northwestern two weeks ago, they ran directly into a Maryland buzzsaw, falling 41-8. The offense is desperately searching for its rhythm. But guess what? A win against Ohio State instantly erases a month of bad tape. They have absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain. If they can stick to a physical, grinding game plan and muddy up the waters early, they can turn this into a standard Big Ten street fight.
🔍 Key Storylines to Watch:
The Trenches: Can the Michigan defensive line rattle Ohio State's front early and force a few mistakes, or will the Buckeyes' explosive playmakers find space immediately?
Rivalry Chaos: We know how this league operates on a strict, fast-paced advance schedule, but expect both coaches to empty the playbook for this one. Fake punts, trick plays, maximum aggression—it’s all on the table.
The Mental Game: Ohio State is flying high, while Michigan is looking to salvage their entire campaign. In a rivalry of this magnitude, emotional discipline is everything.
Florio's Gut Check: The paper says Ohio State should run away with this one based on recent momentum. But "The Game" laughs at recent momentum. Michigan is going to fight like a cornered animal. Expect a completely unhinged, physical first half before the depth and sheer explosive firepower of the Buckeyes starts to widen the gap in the fourth quarter.
Line: Ohio State -10.5
Over/Under: 48.5
Who do you have surviving Hate Week? Does Ohio State solidify their path to a national seed, or does Michigan pull off the ultimate shocker to throw the entire MDSFL playoff picture into absolute anarchy?

If you tell me I'm going to be the starter I better well be the fucking starter.

How do you fuck this up? How? Why have the whole high school portion if it doesn't fucking mean anything? If I was going to be the back up I wouldn't have committed to that team. This is a fucking video game. All I want to do is play for who I want when I want and pick whatever fucking play I want. Why is it this fucking bad? Add the story, the coach play calling mechanic, whatever you fucking want but make it work correctly and give me the option to just play as the starter from down one with a full playbook. No practice, position battles, coach trust issues, or anything other than a new game to play every week and the stupid fun of trying to win 4 Heisman trophies.

Edit: to those defending or trying to explain the game mode, its a fucking video game. If I want a super realistic sim fine. If I want to just play the game and try to break all the records without the tedious grind of all the other shit that should be fine too. The lack of choice is what the problem is.

On the not being a starter, again its a fucking video game. If you tell the number one recruit in the country that they'll star as a freshman then start them as a fucking freshman. I shouldn't have to plan shit. I shouldn't have to study anything. It's a fucking video game. Just make me the starter.

The biggest thing they should be working on is just making the fucking game work correctly. Ea is a shit company with shit employees and shit practices. I'm done. I hope ea goes out of business and the ceo is left homeless for the rest of their shit life.

Recruiting fatigue

I only play dynasty mode and I find that recruiting gets very repetitive and boring once you get deeper into seasons and already have a good team.

What do y’all do to keep the recruiting exciting, given that auto-recruiting is completely busted.

Good morning to the Sack!

Over the last 6 months two of our members were diagnosed with Cancer and underwent risky surgeries to remove it. Corey Harris and Alan Gegax .

Thankfully both are alive to tell the story.

This episode Alan recounts the surgery itself and the immediate days after it.

Seems like any episode where either of suffer becomes very popular...I am starting to wonder about you guys.

Season 2 - Bowl Week 1 - Dynasty for Average/Beginners

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This league is for players with middle of the road or lower skills. If you’re great at the game and blow teams out, thats great, but this isn’t the league for you. In other leagues I’m in it’s usually a shuffle of two or three teams beating everyone and winning every year, which makes it boring. I wanted to create a league for the casual/beginners. If it looks like you’re an expert at the game and go undefeated every season and beating users by 40, you’ll be kicked.

Some Rules

Must pick a 4 star or below team and create a custom coach. (Be careful not to pick a 4.5 star school)

Can’t leave team until after 3 seasons and you have to accept a 4.5 star or below team. No 5 star teams.

This is kind of like a rebuild league if that makes sense. We want users to stay at their teams as long as possible and build them into a 5 star powerhouse

Games

Heisman Difficulty

8 minute quarters

Accelerated clock ON

You can use custom playbooks but no cheese plays. Be respectful

Conferences

I’m not changing the conferences around. Pick a team and play and we’ll all meet in the playoffs/bowl games if we’re in different conference

User Games

I work full time, have two kids and I’m in multiple other leagues so I’m not spending time on schedules. If you’d like to play another user, let me know and I’ll make it happen during scheduling.

The following teams are banned:

LSU
ND
OSU
Alabama
Michigan
PSU
Oregon

This is a chill league so don’t do stupid shit.

DM is interested

Game Exploit Needs to be patched!

Game Exploit Needs To Be patched

I discovered after playing all conference a full season in the online section, players are using some type of exploit that lets them see every single play offensively or defensively you will run. I know this because I'll audible a run and they user there middle lb to right where that run will be. Or I'll change my defense to a blitz, one that doesn't bring everyone up,and they change to a pass. This needs to be patched ASAP as it makes playing impossible in All-confernce. Thank you for attention to this matter

Best way to stop your feet from sliding inside football cleats?

This happened again during practice yesterday and I’m starting to notice it more during drills.

Whenever I sprint, cut, or stop hard, my foot slides slightly inside my cleats. It’s not enough to completely mess up a play, but it throws off my balance for a second and just feels uncomfortable.

At first I thought maybe my cleats were too loose, but even after tightening them properly, it still happens during faster movements.

A couple teammates said they’ve dealt with the same thing before, so now I’m curious how common this actually is.

What do you guys do to improve stability and stop your feet from moving around inside your cleats?

Update: Someone recommended ZeroGive to me, they make grip socks designed to improve foot stability inside football boots by reducing internal slipping and enhancing overall lockdown during movement. Has anyone here used them before?

QB situations in college football

Hey Everyone!

I’ve developed a huge interest in college football in the past couple of years. To give some background, I’m from Canada and played ice hockey my entire life but turned into a huge huge NFL and College Football fan now so I don’t have much background knowledge. I even got the NCAA 26 video game which is so much fun. I’m playing road to glory and noticed that every team has like 6 or 7 QBs. I was wondering if this is the case in real life? If so, With 3 QBs on the bench typically, what does every college team do with the other 3 or 4 QBs on the roster? Do they sit in the press box each game?
