Looking for a privately hosted vanilla PvE server
I've been looking for a privately hosted, unmodded PvE server using vanilla rates for two days now, but almost all of them either use AI to advertise (ew) or have mods / crazy rates :/
The only one i found literally just announced it's shutting down. so I'm on the lookout again.
Does anyone know a good server that matches these requirements?
- Unmodded (or only admin mods e.g. pippi)
- Vanilla (or close to vanilla) rates (other than thrall taming, thats already too fast in vanilla)
- No AI use in advertising or discord server / website
- PvE (not conflict or Pvp)
- No wipes
I realize the requirements might just be too specific to find a server, but I thought I'd at least try here before giving up

New to Conan Exiles co-op – stuck with “too far from host” & teleporting
Hey everyone!
Me and a friend just bought Conan Exiles on Steam (PC) and jumped in today for the first time. We had no idea what we were getting into. I saw on tiktok it got a massive revamp and it looked amazing! Never heard of the game before. We just started a local co-op game (I think it was the “Co-op / single-player” option) and began playing.
We’re still very confused by the game, but a couple of things felt really off:
- I was trying to complete the early journey steps and realized I had forgotten to loot the chest at the start. When I tried to run back, I got a message saying I was too far away from the host and couldn’t go any farther. My friend (the host) had to run towards me so I could move again.
- Later, we were fighting hyenas on a mountain. My friend died and I was suddenly teleported straight to his location, pulled out of the fight.
This really killed the immersion and doesn’t feel like how co-op is supposed to work so we stopped for the night and decided to try again tomorrow. The plan was to start an online server instead, but I noticed renting one costs money.
Before we go down a rabbit hole of bad settings and wrong modes:
What is the proper way to play Conan Exiles in co-op with just two people?
- Is the “too far from host” thing normal for local co-op, and is there any way to remove/increase that distance?
- Do we really need to rent a dedicated server, or is there a better built-in option for friends?
- Any beginner tips (settings, mods, server type) to make the early co-op experience smoother?
Any advice or setup recommendations would be super appreciated. Thanks!

I made a Conan Exiles DB with Thralls, Weapons, Armor Sets and a Build Simulator
Hey Exiles!
I built a small website to help the Conan Exiles community compare Thralls, Weapons and Armor Sets in one place:

The site includes:
- Thrall database
- Weapon database
- Armor set database
- Build Simulator
- Suggestions page
- English interface
The Build Simulator lets you choose a thrall, a weapon and an armor set, then shows an estimated final stat panel with things like HP, armor, damage reduction, melee DPS, ranged DPS, carry weight, climate protection and stamina.
Example use case:
Pick Dalinsia Snowhunter, test different legendary weapons like Akbitanan Blades, Crom’s Hammer, Daggers of Nameless Days, then compare armor sets such as Godbreaker, Arena Champion, Black Corsair and others.
Important note: the simulator is an approximation. Conan Exiles uses internal growth curves, hidden scaling and equipment calculations that are not fully modeled yet, so the numbers should be used as a guide, not as exact in-game values.
I’m still improving the data and calculations, so feedback is very welcome.

dedicated server problem
Hi guys,
I want to run my own dedicsted server to play with a friend.
Heres my config:
- ryzen 9800x3d
-64 gb ram DDR5 6000
- Installed on SSD WD Black sn850x
- rtx 5080
I want to play with the same computer while running the server, I know its ok and I am not afraid of the performance.
The problem:
I installed steam dedicated server for Conan Exiled. I tinkered a little with the serversetting.ini to set up message of the day, server name, some parameters like 2 player max, etc.
When I open it, I juste see the window with ‘’close this windows to close the server’’ so no live logs. But, the server work as I am able to connect via direct connect using my local IP. Even if I have set a password, they dont ask me for one (maybe because dirext connect).
The problem come when my friend rey to connect. I gave him my ipv4 IP adress (I know its the good one, followed by :7777) and password and all but he can’t connect and got timed out. My adresse on ipconfig windows command is different than on whatismyipd, which may be some security problem ? (or router). I forwarded all required ports in my modem.
Maybe I need ti change something in the serversetting.ini because im running the server on the same Pc I am playing it ?
On steam ‘gameservers’ menu, I can see my server but in the ‘LAN’ section only, and do not reflect name and linmit of player…(when I right click the server I see the good ipv4 IP adress I give to my friend to connect)
Which Ip adress is the right one ? the one I got with ipconfig command and what I see on the whatismyipd.com ? why are they different ?
Please help with the setting and configuration I am missing !

conan exiles enhanced unbanned all accounts
Just so you know, all Conan Exiles accounts have been unbanned. I accidentally logged into my main account to test the new update, and I was surprised to find that the servers I'd been playing on with other accounts weren't available. I had to create a new character, but when I realized it, I was back on my main Steam account and was able to access the official servers. I was banned for griefing; I'm not sure about accounts that used hacks.

Looking for a RP-lite server
I've started playing more or less recently, got to midgame and found that I will receive way more pleasure exploring and building along with other people.
I'm looking for a PvE server with at least some RP. Don't expect lengthy background stories and roleplay sessions, but at least characters named Mogra the Buxom instead of bigtiddybarbarian123. Don't care for pvp. Don't care for erp either.
