The Savage Sword of Conan issue one (1974) and The Savage Sword of Conan issue one San Diego comic con foil edition (2024).
I really enjoy the savage sword of Conan books. I’ve been slowly working on an original Marvel run. I have about 20 issues span out across the 235 issue run. I recently just started buying the Titan run. I have about half of it. They’re pretty hard to find going back the last two years. But it’s fun and I stumbled upon this foil edition and I’m not really a sucker for flashy objects. I’m not a magpie but when you need an issue one, you need an issue one.

Jusko appears to have had Valeria Golino in mind when he painted the cover, although I wasn't able to find confirmation.

Cover art by Kenneth Morris for Savage Sword of Conan #19 (US, June 1977) and Savage Sword of Conan #8 (UK, June 1978).
Morris repainted the cover for the UK reissue: less blood, less saturation, Conan's face is softer. It's almost as if he asked "what if Jeff Jones had painted this instead of me?"

So I have a long box of conan comics (uk).. who needs some?
I ended up with a big box of conan, im comic seller on whatnot but literally have no market for it.
If you want to buy single issues thats fine, if you want to buy the whole box id be hugely happy with that.
There's about 75% of vol 1 and loads of other conan limited runs in there too.
Im a one man band with my selling (and im selling alot at the moment) so I dont have time to research conan.
If you'd like to make a deal for singles or the box just give this thread a comment and we can sort something out.

Who are the Conan styled characters that were influenced by Conan?
There's got to be a few other wandering Barbarians out there with similar MO's and outlooks on life as Conan, even other characters written by Robert E Howard himself.
I know there's been a lot of discussion over the years about whether He-Man was meant to have anything to do with the Arnie Conan movie or not, and if you look into some of the original premises details of He-Man where there's no Prince Adam alter ego, that version seems to be much in the Conan type mold.
Discworld parodied Conan with Genghis Cohen, a very old barbarian warrior, a lifetime in his own legend, but I'm struggling to think of any other characters influenced by everyone's favourite Cimmerian.

The Hyborian Age Cookbook
I was inspired by the Post from Conan.com "How to Eat Like Conan the Barbarian" and had Chad(t) make a cookbook from the Conan Exiles recipes. It's made by Ai so use your own discretion before you eat something. I just thought it was a great foundation to start eating like a Cimmerian, or a Stygian Dog.
