Condor BCN delayed luggage

Half writing to complain and half writing to see if anyone has any advice.

We had a stop in Frankfurt on our way to Barcelona. Once we touched down, the passengers waited for about an hour at the carousel until someone finally told us that our luggages would not be delivered because they can’t get anyone to unload them and will fly the luggage back to Frankfurt.

There were no Condor representatives so the group of passengers swarmed the worker at lost luggage desk until she rolled down the screen and clocked out.

Contacted Condor customer service after filing a delayed luggage report and the gist is that:

  1. For the next five days the airport will be responsible for finding the luggage. Meaning BCN will be responsible for searching for a luggage that is definitely in Frankfurt (we also have AirTags to confirm this)

  2. Condor has no way to expediting this process or help connect with the department at BCN to let them know these luggages are in Frankfurt

Has anyone experience something similar?

The vent half:

  1. I have it in writing that they wouldn’t reimburse toiletries, pretty certain that’s covered under Montreal convention.

  2. Once they did inform us, they pointed at a piece of paper with a QR code that’s specifically for Condor. I remember seeing that QR code as I walked to the carousel. I take that to mean they knew this was an issue and just didn’t tell us for an hour.

  3. There’s certain level of loss of wages tied to this for us that they completely side stepped.

Seat Upgrades

I recently booked a flight from Frankfurt to New York on Condor through JetBlue, using JetBlue points. At the time, Premium Economy was the only option available, so I booked it.
I later decided I’d like to upgrade to Business Class. I don’t care whether the upgrade requires points or cash—I’m willing to do either.
Here’s the problem: I called JetBlue and was told, “We can’t help you. You need to call Condor.” I called Condor, and they told me, “We can’t help you. You need to call JetBlue.” 🤦‍♀️
I’ve already spent hours going back and forth between the two airlines, and I’m still right where I started.
Has anyone booked a Condor flight through JetBlue using points and successfully upgraded to Business Class? If so, how did you get it done? Any advice or specific department/number that actually knows how to handle this would be greatly appreciated!

West Coast-FRA-CAI: premium vs business

Flights for my dates next year are starting to be released. For what's available so far, Condor's got the best prices both in premium and business.

I flew a 12hr economy on Turkish to Istanbul once - it was a sleepless hell. I'd love to get the flat seat in business, but it's outside my budget by a few hundred bucks. Premium's $1500 less, but I've heard it's basically "economy extra legroom" elsewhere.

In your opinion, is premium good enough? Is business worth splurging for? At a time when the eclipse's gonna make demandgo nuts, will Seatboost still be a viable option?

Worried about our short layover at Frankfurt airport.

We bought our tickets (LAX-FRA-CDG) directly with Condor under one ticket, before the EES rolled in. We were torn between a 6-hr-layover and a 1 hr 35 minutes layover. We chose the shorter one. We usually fly non stop, and wasn’t aware of how chaotic Frankfurt can be. If we miss our connecting flight due to long queues with the EES, will condor rebook our connecting flight? We won’t be seeking compensation if we miss the flight. We just want to make it to Paris, hopefully on the same day.
