Quotewerks

Is anyone using quotewerks for AV sales? How does it compare to connectwise sell? Or jetbuilt or dtools? We use CW manage and sell currently. And the sell is too painful and time consuming.

CW PSA - Multiple Report Writer custom reports vanished overnight. How to restore without CW support?

He had 3 critical custom reports that have been in use for a couple of years at our shop vanish from PSA overnight. We know that CW officially "doesn't support" custom reports, but I am broadly concerned:

  1. Why did they disappear?
  2. Will it happen again?
  3. How do we know if anything else got deleted?

Complicated by the factors that we are on-prem and that these are custom reports instead of standard.

When I went to CW support, they told me I had to pay to talk to ProServices.

I understand that custom reports aren't supported, but... it's not about the report, it's about the module. We pay for and absolutely need that functionality. I can build, schedule, and troubleshoot my own reports; I just need the platform to not randomly delete them.

Has anyone seen this before? Any tips? Totally miserable dealing with CW support these days. Thank you!

Recreate on-prem alert action

What is the best way (for a novice) to recreate email ‘alerts’ / notifications from ‘questions’ asked within a SharePoint online list, routed to the appropriate user by choice column? The user would then update the list with answers to the submitter’s question. I need to create views as well so the submitter can not see the internal back and forth with providing answers. I tried power automate using a switch but need the emails to link back to the list /questions that only apply to that team member (also thinking view here?)

Question on Pod development

I'm trying to create a pod. I started with the sample code but it doesn't seem to function. Off the bat, I noticed that the port number in the onReady function was incorrect so I've changed that to 8088.

With some console logging I see that the API creation call is firing but none of the fields populate when pressing the buttons. The API calls seem to be made, I receive this in my console:

ConnectWiseHostedAPI: posting message {"hosted_request":"refreshScreen"} ConnectWiseHostedAPI.1.0.js:133

ConnectWiseHostedAPI: posting message {"hosted_request":"getMemberAuthentication"}

Is the sample code no longer functional or am I doing something obviously wrong?

Thanks dave

Nearly 10 years of occasional ticket formatting issue finally solved! **This should be Bold Text!** why did it send to the client like that?!

Have you ever sent an email and then noticed the formatting was all whack after you sent it? Yeah... me either.. /s

After spending way too much time then I will publicly admit here trying to replicate over many years unsuccessfully... I have FINALLY been able to replicate what has been driving me crazy for nearly 10 years!

I've raised this with CW, however in the meantime maybe I can offload some thought process and someone in the know can explain why this is the case?

How do get rid of old timesheets for old employees

I've got a bunch (700) or so time sheets for ex-employees that never got submitted. We've been really lazy about that and wanting to get better about closing out timesheets. What's the easiest way to close out those time sheets when the employee doesn't exist anymore. From approvals you can only send email reminders. I can click into the time sheet and submit but I'd sure hate to do that 700 times.
