Since the second anniversary ended a good while ago, I think it's about the time I put my personal opinion on it. The anniversary will be tested on Story,Event gamemodes,Events in general, QoL,Cookie designs, cookie gameplay & general fun. The total is 35, each section counts for 5 (Except cookies). Keep on mind this was an ANNIVERSARY, it will be held to higher standards and be compared to the first anniversary. Here are the ranges Real quick.
1 to 5 BAD UPDATE (The only updates here was the marbleberry update and the wind asparagus update, all because of tower arena & Greed asparagus cookie)
6 to 10 Mediocre
11 to 20 Mid
21 to 24 Okay
25 to 30 Good
31 to 34 AMAZING (this is where the first anniversary is with the greeenbell update)
35 PERFECT! (No update has made it here)
The story was amazing, what can I say? Moonlight is there, Milky way is cute, Stardust is being the best older brother to Melanchream and holy, BABY MELANCHREAM. So peak.
Listen, I loved escort OPS, but it just never beat perimeter Defense for me. Maybe it's just nostalgia but Escort OPS was just never as peak as Perimeter Defense for me.
The Melanchream decoration thing and the shop connected to it, that was pretty fun and the abyss raid season was really good, Milky way skin was peak, there's nothing really negative to say here except it just wasn't as good as the first anniversary event, there was a lot more to do in the first anniversary event than this one.
I hate the new raid rework, I'm going to be honest, they could've just made the rework into a whole new gamemode for I don't know, end and beginning crystals or something. I miss the 4 player Co op. The only positive thing I can really say is that we get more control over the equipment we get, I guess. Would've been 2 if end and beginning crystals weren't made easier to get.
I can't say much on their designs, but I can say it on the transition from 2D to 3D, Milky way? amazing, Moonlight? Stunning. Stardust.... Umm... He's the reason it's not 5/5, it's not his design... It's just... His head... The back specifically. Go into the lobby, put him in, spin him to the back and you'll see what I'm talking about.
Mystic powercrept Light, no joke, mystic powercreep Light. The new element, that has 3 cookies, powercrept light. Crazy work devsis, crazy work. As for the actual cookie gameplay, I like it, especially Moonlight's gameplay and Synergy between the trio in a mystic team is honestly really good and complex. Pretty good I'm my opinion.
I had a lot of fun, not as much as in the first anniversary, but definitely lots of fun, moonlight grind wasn't bad, the quests where easier & more diverse, and I had a lot more friends than I did in the first anniversary to play with, so yeah. Pretty fun for me at least.
Moonlight is one of the most popular cookie in cookie run history, of course that's gonna make the people happy, extra points for that.
One of the biggest updates in cookie run history, no joke, it couldn't surpass the first anniversary but it held a good fight. Peak update, unforgettable.

Okay so me and my best friend were debating Mad Syrup and I started thinking about how Devsis usually does their Legendary releases and the whole Calamity situation.
My first thought was that Mad Syrup could be a Dark Tagger, especially since Melanchream kinda “took” the Dark element when she honestly feels like she should’ve been Water, while Mad Syrup feels way more naturally Dark.
BUT then I started thinking about the other Calamities. If Mad Syrup is Light, wouldn’t we just have the SAME problem again?? One of the other Calamities has a really obvious pure yellow/Light theme, so if Mad Syrup takes Light too, it kinda feels like Devsis is taking another character’s obvious element away from them.
And I don’t really think Devsis would make 2/4 Calamities Dark either, because that’s literally half of them. The last Calamity is basically screaming Fire + Fighter so I don’t think that one is changing much.
Then there’s the sidekick thing. Every Legendary has had a sidekick that either buffs their kit or needs their kit in some way, so I feel like Mad Syrup’s sidekick could actually be a support instead of another DPS. Especially if Devsis wants Mad Syrup to introduce a completely new team.
And this is where I started thinking about Poison or some other new element.
Moonlight kinda proves Devsis is willing to make a completely new element when a Legendary doesn’t really fit into Light or Dark. She didn’t really belong to either, so they made Mystic. Mad Syrup could have the same problem where he doesn’t cleanly fit into an existing element.
So maybe it’s:
mad syrup = new element / Poison DPS
sidekick = support for that element/team
Or he could be some kind of Mystic/combined element, like Dark/Water or Dark/Earth (Light/Earth feels VERY unlikely tho )
I just don’t think the answer is necessarily “he’s Light because melanchream is already dark ” or “he’s Dark because he’s edgy.” I feel like Devsis might be setting up the Calamities so each one has a different identity, and Mad Syrup might be the one that breaks the existing elemental pattern completely.

I personally think that he'll be a Light Tagger. Legendary of course and he'll have some sort of gimmicky Debuff.
The reason I think he'll be light is because so far we've gotten at least 1 character for each element this year, even a whole new element itself but the first element cookies we got this year is dark (Shallot cookie) BUT! Dark already has a legendary cookie, so the next best option is Light, (because of shining berry) and also, mad syrup would powercreep a VERY old cookie, aka Banana roti (I'm sorry BRC, it's time to go) and the new meta light team would possibly be SBC(Or his dedicated fighter) + Mad syrup + NDC (or how dedicated support.)
I'm not a light main, I never have been, but it would most definitely be nice if light got a little biff with a legendary so it wouldn't be the weakest element. Currently I think the element ranking is personally:
🥇1. Dark teams (Melanchream is OP what can I say, I might be a glazer tho)
🥈2. Wind teams (Wind asparagus is also OP, has a similar problem to the fire teams but Green bell's Artifact saves her)
🥉3. Water teams (genuinely a weird placement but since they have 2 meta DPS's, they can get away with it)
4A. Fire teams (Good damage, horrible support, Peach is outdated, she needs to retire, she's almost 2 years old, shares a rank with Earth teams)
4B. Earth teams (Black Barley has always felt clunky for me and Jackfruit is mainly AOE based and she's probably the thing that's keeping me from making this team 5 rank)
5. Light teams (Sadly, Underwhelming, Their AOE DPS, Buttermilk doesn't do great damage at least for me personally, and their main DPS, shining berry is just not very good for me to play.)
X. Mystic (unranked because don't let the game trick you into thinking this is a whole new element, no, it's just Light but with a new colour and better lore.)
so what are yalls predictions / theories about mad syrup's gameplay ? i personally think that hes a dark tagger to buff melanchream (the devs love to buff her) so i think it makes sense since marble berry is really bad rn shes still in the darkness team just because shes the only epic-dark tagger or what if mad syrup and his sidekick being a new element like poision? what do you guys think all types of theories/ predictions are welcome!
Been extremely broke this month so had to buy the pass super late but I cant buy it 😭😭😭 I will be really upset if I miss this one bc Ive bought every pass since the game releases 💔💔 I already removed and re-added my card to my account and all my info is valid.
The game has an issue with crashes. It’s had this issue for over a year. But for some reason the Academy mode for like a week or so has had it really bad, to the point I had to time it. In my most recent attempts, in order to get one complete run of this mode that should only take a minute and 30 seconds if you’re on 2X, it instead took this long because of the crashes. Note that three times, it crashed after the end count but before the complete text showed up meaning it didn’t count for completion. This isn’t good. idk what DevSisters is doing but fixing these crashes is long overdue, but out of curiosity, has anyone else tried the same thing?
I say this because l just bet that no one really plays this game anymore so we basically have like 400 players lol
Not only that but when l "apparently" left the official server, no one doesn't even talk anymore and it all so empty to the point of not even bother looking at it
Hell even twitter isn't helping, apparently a tweet can get high...... 6k people...... That's it
YouTube isn't safe as well since ever vid is like around 10k but l bet only 3k people actually played the update so we basically see the vids getting like... 2k people???
In short, l won't be surprised if we get a eos next year or around late 2026 because l not sure how long the team wants to quit working on this game
And that's not all!! Apparently the Japan version of toa flop so hard that they are actually going to combine global and Japan together, the population was THAT bad for toa (that's what happened from l hearing)
I don't think l really have a good idea since at this point toa looks like it gona have a eos soon...... Only idea l can think of is actually listen to the community, add more content, or just straight up actually promo the game more
I haven't played this game since about the red legendary cookie's release and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to do raids !!!!!! Also can you still request hearts from your guild or not, cause I can't find the button for it anywhere. I feel so lost bruh 😭😭😭😭 I love raid mode but I can't even figure out how to play it 😢
I love her character and all her options in combat, but I feel like I can’t play her at all😭. Like whenever I try to put her against any type of boss content she just gets melted when I try to do her hold ult variant. Any this for general gameplay/survivability?
So who's the guardian thats gonna come out after Mad syrup? any speculations? or leaks i think ground oat or aquaberry is next bc we have a really good/ recent water and earth teams (not connected to lore ofc) but its kinda impossible to know from lore since we are going from floor to floor in the adventure mode so what do you guys think?
